Friday, Sept. 8
11:02 p.m.: A woman and a juvenile were issued summonses at Dolores High School, 1301 Central Ave., on suspicion of underage consumption of alcohol after witnesses claimed they and three other juveniles were involved in a fight in the parking lot during a football game. One juvenile was medically cleared by Southwest Health System emergency services personnel after she said another juvenile had punched her in the head and that she felt dizzy. The woman and three of the juveniles were issued trespass notices for the school.
Saturday, Sept. 9
12:17 p.m.: Deputies responded to a report of an attempted break-in at Red Tail Creations, 501 Central Ave., Dolores. One of the owners claimed slight damage had been done to the back door, although no one appeared to have entered the building. The case remains under investigation.
Sunday, Sept. 10
8:46 a.m.: A woman was arrested at Skyline Gas Station, 27963 Colorado Highway 184, on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and displaying fictitious license plates after a deputy contacted her because she appeared to be sleeping in the driver seat of her vehicle. Several hypodermic needles and multiple containers of meth were found in the car.
7:46 p.m.: Deputies responded to a report of possible animal cruelty in the 27000 block of County Road R, Dolores. A woman claimed she had seen a man riding a bicycle down the street and reaching over fences to spray dogs with an unknown liquid that caused them to run away. She reportedly said the latest incident she had witnessed was on July 30, but she and her neighbors had seen the man multiple times. The case remains under investigation.
Monday, Sept. 11
9:07 a.m.: A woman was arrested on a warrant at Montezuma County Court, 601 N. Mildred Road.
12:28 p.m.: Deputies responded to a report of theft in the 37000 block of U.S. Highway 160. A man claimed someone had cut the lock off one of his storage sheds and pried open the door of another. A chainsaw, two seats from his vehicles, several recreational vehicle parts, tools from a tool box and two jackets were taken from one of the storage sheds. The case remains under investigation.
Tuesday, Sept. 12
9:26 a.m.: Deputies responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 14000 block of Colorado Highway 145. A woman claimed her dirt bike, valued at $1,500, had been stolen from her garage. Responding deputies reportedly saw that a small window in the garage had been broken out. The case remains under investigation.
10:15 a.m.: A man was served with a warrant for failure to appear at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
9:49 p.m.: A woman was arrested in the 1400 block of Central Avenue, Dolores, on suspicion of obstructing a peace officer after deputies responded to a report of a disturbance at her mother’s residence. She reportedly appeared to be extremely high on an unknown drug and resisted deputies’ efforts to transport her to Southwest Memorial Hospital, pushing one of them in the chest. While she was being treated at the hospital for intoxication, she reportedly tried to headbutt a nurse.
Wednesday, Sept. 13
11:47 a.m.: Deputies responded to a report of a missing person in the 800 block of Central Avenue, Dolores. A woman claimed her adult son, who has a mental disorder, had borrowed her car on Sept. 8 and had not returned. While deputies were investigating, the man was found in the City of Las Vegas Detention Center.
1:39 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 200 block of South Fourth Street, Dolores, on suspicion of menacing and possession of a controlled substance after another man claimed he had threatened to kill him with a baseball bat. A bag of crushed up pills was found in the suspect’s pocket. He was medically cleared by emergency personnel after complaining of pain in his legs.
Thursday, Sept. 14
8:24 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 200 block of North 15th Street, Dolores, on suspicion of violating a protection order after deputies responded to a report he was in the home of the woman who had a protection order against him. The woman reportedly said she was alone in the house at first, but when deputies asked permission to search the house, she said the man was in a closet in her bedroom, where deputies quickly found him.
