Wednesday, Oct. 18

11:50 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 28000 block of U.S. Highway 160 on suspicion of third-degree assault, a protection order violation and domestic violence after his girlfriend claimed he had punched her in the face, breaking her glasses and causing visible facial injuries.

Thursday, Oct. 19

10:05 a.m.: A woman was remanded into custody from Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

11:38 a.m.: A man was arrested at the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office pretrial services department, 730 E. Driscoll St., on a warrant for failure to comply.

2:50 p.m.: Deputies responded to a report of theft in the 6000 block of County Road 25. A woman claimed someone had stolen a book of checks from her home in the past month. The case remains under investigation.

3:20 p.m.: A woman was arrested in the 400 block of South Cedar Street on a warrant for a parole violation.

Saturday, Oct. 21

5:31 p.m.: Deputies responded to a report of a traffic accident at GST Liquor, 102 S. 11th St., Dolores. A woman had reportedly backed into another vehicle while leaving the store parking lot, causing damage to its driver side and her rear bumper. No injuries were reported, and both vehicles were driven from the scene.

6:22 p.m.: A man was arrested at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., on suspicion of second-degree assault after he reportedly punched a detention sergeant in the face, causing a swollen lip. The sergeant reportedly tackled the man to the ground and hit him in the face several times before handcuffing him. The suspect reportedly refused medical treatment.

Sunday, Oct. 22

2:03 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 28000 block of County Road K.2 on a warrant for failure to comply.

3:24 p.m.: A man turned himself in at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., and was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.

Monday, Oct. 23

10:09 a.m.: A man was served with a warrant for failure to comply at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

10:27 a.m.: A man was served with a warrant for failure to comply at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

5:20 p.m.: A man was arrested outside Candelaria Construction, 26000 County Road L, on a Dolores County warrant for second-degree burglary and theft.

6:07 p.m.: A woman was arrested in the 1300 block of North Mildred Road on suspicion of DUI after she was pulled over for driving with a defective brake lamp. She was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital before being taken to jail, due to intoxication.

7:59 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 11000 block of Colorado Highway 145 on a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic charge after he was pulled over on suspicion of driving without operational taillights and registration.

11:06 p.m.: A man was arrested at Ute Mountain Casino, 3 Weeminuche Drive, Towaoc, on three warrants for failure to appear on a traffic offense, a food stamps trafficking charge and third-degree assault, respectively, after deputies contacted him and some other casino visitors who did not appear to be 21.
