The Region 9 Economic Development District of Southwest Colorado announces Ron LeBlanc and Robert Whitson have joined the Region 9 board of directors.

Durango City manager Ron LeBlanc will represent the city of Durango. Robert Whitson, owner of Express Employment Professionals, a staffing agency, will serve as an at-large member. They were elected at the July 28 board of directors meeting.

Region 9 is a public/private partnership that promotes and coordinates economic development efforts in five Colorado counties. The Region 9 board of directors is composed of representatives from the 17 local governmental jurisdictions and nine members from the private sector. It meets quarterly.
