Public invited to attend meth and fentanyl awareness conference

Community organizations to host conference in Shiprock

Community organizations will host a meth and fentanyl awareness conference from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, March 10, at Shiprock Chapter House, U.S. Highway 64.

Conference presentations and speakers will focus on raising awareness of the dangers of meth and fentanyl. Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren will present at the conference, and personal testimonies will be given.

Discussions and educational opportunities will be offered by San Juan County Partnership Narcan training, Veterans Outreach Program, Capacity Builders, Farmington Police Department, Navajo Police Department, Drug Enforcement Agency Administration, Victory Life Church and behavioral health services.

The conference is free and open to the public.
