Wednesday, Nov. 8

8:28 a.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

10:11 a.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

3 p.m.: A woman was arrested at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., on a warrant for failure to appear.

4:50 p.m.: A woman was arrested at the City Park swimming pool, 803 E. Montezuma Ave., on a La Plata County warrant for failure to appear.

5:30 p.m.: A man was arrested in City Park, 802 E. Main St., on a municipal warrant for failure to appear. He was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital before being taken to jail, due to severe intoxication.

9:28 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 1300 block of East Main Street on a San Juan County warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge, and on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance after he was pulled over for driving with a defective taillight. A small bag containing hydrocodone pills was found in his pocket.

Thursday, Nov. 9

5:36 a.m.: Police responded to a report of a vehicle break-in in the 700 block of North Chestnut Street. A man reported that sometime after 5 p.m. the previous day, someone had stolen about $2,500 worth of fly fishing gear from his vehicle. A trunk containing some of the gear was found in an alley near the man’s residence, but he said about $2,350 worth was still missing. The case remains under investigation.

9:31 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 700 block of East Second Street on suspicion of violating a protection order. The man who had the protection order claimed the suspect was harassing him and his neighbors from across the street.

4:37 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 1300 block of East Main Street on suspicion of driving under restraint. A hypodermic syringe was found in his pocket.

9 p.m.: A man was arrested outside the Cortez Elks Lodge, 2100 N. Dolores Road, on a felony warrant from the Colorado Department of Corrections after he was pulled over for weaving.

Friday, Nov. 10

11:25 a.m.: A man was arrested outside Trinity Lutheran Church, 2320 E. Main St., on a Park County warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge after staff reported he was standing outside the church preschool and acting suspicious. The man reportedly said his truck was out of gas and he was looking for money.

6:35 p.m.: A woman was arrested in the 100 block of East Third Street on suspicion of harassment and domestic violence after her boyfriend reported she had punched him in the chest and head. She was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital due to severe intoxication.

10:04 p.m.: A woman was issued a summons on suspicion of shoplifting at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St. Store employees reported she had tried to steal $42.64 worth of clothing.

Saturday, Nov. 11

1:28 a.m.: A woman was arrested in the 400 block of South Ash Street on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se, driving under restraint per se and driving with taillights with bright white light.

5:04 p.m.: A man was issued a summons outside City Market, 508 E. Main St., on suspicion of keeping a vicious dog after another man claimed the dog had bitten his girlfriend while it was tied up outside the store.

11:07 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 1 block of North Market Street on suspicion of driving under restraint and driving with a missing headlight.

Sunday, Nov. 12

12:17 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 900 block of Brookside Drive on suspicion of criminal mischief and domestic violence after his girlfriend claimed he had destroyed much of the furniture in her house, including a $500 TV and a $350 coffee table.

8:20 p.m.: A woman was issued a summons on suspicion of shoplifting at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St. Store employees claimed she had tried to steal a purse, a box of Q-tips, two bottles of body wash, a bottle of face wash and a pair of women’s underwear, valued at $65.50 total.

11:57 p.m.: A man was issued a summons on suspicion of trespassing at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.

Monday, Nov. 13

2:11 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 100 block of West Coronado Avenue on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. About 50 used needles were found in a backpack he carried, along with a straw containing meth residue. A loaded syringe with about 25 units of meth was found in his pocket.

Tuesday, Nov. 14

5:13 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 700 block of East Second Street on suspicion of violating a protection order after witnesses reported he had driven into a parking lot near the apartment complex where the person who had the protection order lived.

5:39 p.m.: A man was arrested at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., on a La Plata County warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor.

Wednesday, Nov. 15

5:59 a.m.: A man was arrested at Southwest Memorial Hospital, 1311 N. Mildred Road, on suspicion of violating a protection order after hospital staff reported he was being unruly in the emergency room. He was medically cleared due to severe intoxication.

2:21 p.m.: Police responded to a report of theft in the 1200 block of Mesa Verde Street. An Alert Traffic Control employee claimed a post pounder, valued at $4,000, had been stolen from the back of his company truck. The case remains under investigation.

2:22 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 700 block of South Broadway on suspicion of harassment and domestic violence after his girlfriend reported he had screamed in her face and shaken her. The man was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital due to severe intoxication.

Thursday, Nov. 16

7:39 p.m.: A man was arrested at Big R, 1319 E. Main St., on suspicion of aggravated robbery and theft. Store employees claimed he had taken three hats and a pair of gloves without paying, and had brandished a weapon when an employee confronted him. Officers found a knife in his pocket. The total value of the stolen items was estimated at $106.98.

Friday, Nov. 17

2:35 p.m.: A man was arrested at the Integrated Family Medicine clinic, 2095 N. Dolores Road, on two Montezuma County warrants and two warrants from Idaho for amphetamine possession and dangerous drugs. He was transported to Southwest Memorial Hospital for treatment of a reportedly self-inflicted gunshot wound in his right leg.
