Thursday, Nov. 7

1:30 a.m. An officer arrested a man with two warrants after a report of suspicious people was made at the Hampton Inn, 2244 Hawkins St.

3:18 p.m. An officer arrested a woman on suspicion of DUI, driving under restraint, driving a vehicle without insurance, and failure to stop at a stop sign at the Valley Sun Village, 700 East Second St.

4:39 p.m. An officer arrested a man with a warrant at 537 North Elm St.

Friday, Nov. 8

11:46 a.m. An officer cited a man with trespassing at Walmart, 1835 East Main St.

1:07 p.m. An officer arrested a woman on suspicion of disturbing the peace, resisting arrest and interfering with an officer at 42 North Beech St.

2:40 p.m. An officer arrested a woman on a warrant in the 200 block of South Elm St.

4:50 p.m. An officer arrested a woman on a warrant who was looking for her phone that was sending its location from the Cortez Police Department, 608 North Park St. The woman’s phone was returned to her before her arrest; originally it was turned in to the police department by someone who found the phone.

8:56 p.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of protection order violations at Burger Boy, 400 East Main St. The man was cited with violating a no-alcohol possession or consumption order and no purchasing or possessing weapons order.

Saturday, Nov. 9

9:13 a.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant at 400 South Ash St.

11:30 a.m. An officer cited a woman with third-degree assault at the Oak Meadows Trailer Park, 405 West 7th St. The officer’s report states the woman punched the trailer park manager’s mother in the face after attempting to dispute her eviction from the park.

12:09 p.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of a protection order violation that states he shall have no contact with no exceptions from residents at 231 East Third St. The officer’s report states that he recognized the man running from the residence as he had arrested him earlier in the day on an unrelated warrant and he was wearing the same clothing as he was when he was previously arrested.

6:59 p.m. An officer arrested a woman with three warrants who was turning herself into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 East Driscoll St.

Sunday, Nov. 10

1:04 a.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving a vehicle when license is under restraint for alcohol in the parking lot of the Southwest Memorial Hospital, 1311 N. Mildred Road.

2:23 p.m. An officer arrested a woman on suspicion of violating a protection order that states she shall not possess or consume alcohol and a warrant at the Southwest Memorial Hospital, 1311 N. Mildred Road. The officer’s report states he was responding to a call for the welfare check of a woman who was sitting on gravel in the parking lot of Mesa Elementary School, he states he found the woman lying on her stomach in the gravel lot, with blood coming from her nose and a scrape under her right eye and he could smell alcohol emitting from her. Emergency medical services transported the woman to the hospital for a medical evaluation and upon her release she was arrested.

3:27 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant who was reporting damage to his property at 117 East 3rd St.

4:11 p.m. An officer took a report for a no contact no exceptions protection order violation at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St. The officer’s report states he would be seeking a warrant for the arrest of a woman who said she would turn herself in for the violation an hour after she didn’t show up to turn herself into the officers custody at the police department.

4:19 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant at 139 West Third St.

5:50 p.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of violating two protection orders that state he shall not possess or consume alcohol and seven warrants at 203 East Seventh St.

10:02 p.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of disturbing the peace at Dolores State Bank, 744 E. Main St.

Monday, Nov. 11

2:23 p.m. An officer took a report for obstruction of a police officer at 616 S. Beech St. The report states the officer attempted to serve a warrant to a man who would not comply with him and that the man’s action of retreating into his residence knowing he had an active warrant, blocked the officers attempts to enforce the law.

2:51 p.m. An officer cited a woman with unlawful possession of a controlled substance at the Retro Inn, 2040 E. Main St.

8:53 p.m. An officer took a report for an assault at the Methodist Thrift Shop, 444 E. Main St. The report states a woman saw a man and woman on surveillance camera footage in the alley behind the thrift shop and the man slapped the woman and soon had his hands around the woman’s neck. The officer reported he took pictures of blood on the ground and when speaking to the woman in the video when he located her near the Ocean Pearl restaurant, he saw blood coming from her nose and on her hands. She said it was nothing and she did not want to speak to the officer. The officer stated in his report he would be seeking an arrest warrant for a protection order violation for the man seen in the video.

11:12 p.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of disorderly conduct and harassment at 4003 East Montezuma Ave.

Tuesday, Nov. 12

10:47 p.m. An officer served a warrant to a man in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

5:10 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant and cited him with trespassing at City Market, 508 E. Main St.

4:48 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant at the Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St.

Wednesday, Nov. 13

10:38 a.m. An officer cited a woman with letting her dog run at large at the Seventh Street Mobile Home, 600 South Washington St.

12:14 p.m. An officer served a warrant to a man in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

3:43 p.m. An officer served a warrant to a man in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
