Thursday, Nov. 16

1:22 p.m. A man was arrested for a warrant at 1712 E. Downey Ave. Initially, he was going to be stopped after an officer saw him run a stop sign right in front of him at Sligo Street and Coronado Avenue. The man stated although he saw the overhead emergency lights, he proceeded to drive home because he didn’t want his car towed, he thought he might have a possible warrant for missing his court date.

2:26 p.m. A woman was cited with operating an uninsured motor vehicle, displaying expired number plates, violating restrictions on a temporary instruction permit, and number plate obstructed by tinted plate at 1200 E. Main St. Her permit was also seized, and she received an insurance affidavit and a notice of suspension, then her vehicle was towed.

7:03 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order that prohibits him from possessing or consuming alcohol at 35 N. Ash St.

10:32 p.m. An officer took a report from a woman that was bit by her cat that she adopted around five years ago at 815 S. Chesnut St. The woman said the cat was growling so she tried to pet it and it bit her. She wanted to surrender it but it was after hours.

Friday, Nov. 17

11:11 a.m. An officer had a woman’s car towed from 10 N. Beech St. it had been in a 2-hour tow zone for approximately two weeks prior. The owner is in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.

11:52 a.m. A woman was arrested on a warrant at 1835 E. Main St.

1:58 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant at 2200 E. Main St.

2:35 p.m. An officer took a report from a woman for Fraud at 700 E. Second St.

8:55 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant at 1 S. Chesnut St.

9:01 p.m. An officer served a woman in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center a warrant at 730 E. Driscoll St.

Saturday, Nov. 18

12:43 a.m. A man was arrested and cited with felony menacing and prohibited use of weapons at 309 N. Broadway when he was reported to have been threatening to use a loaded weapon on bystanders.

2:53 p.m. A man was arrested and cited with suspicion of public intoxication, obstructing a peace officer, disorderly conduct because he was reported to be holding up traffic going eastbound and westbound on main street. The man was chased down and finally caught at 500 E. Main St.

7:56 p.m. A man was arrested for a warrant and suspicion of violating a protection order that prohibits him from possessing or consuming alcohol at 25 N. Market St.

9:55 p.m. A woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI and cited with speeding at 10 N. Sligo St.

Sunday, Nov. 19

1:04 a.m. An officer took a report for a hit-and-run accident at 309 N. Broadway.

2:20 p.m. A man was arrested at 400 E. Main St. for suspicion of violating a protection order that prohibits him from possessing or consuming alcohol.

3:19 p.m. An officer took a report from an employee at the City Market, 508 E. Main St., for suspicion of counterfeit bills being used.

Monday, Nov. 20

7:21 a.m. An officer took a report of a burglary at 205 N. Henry St.

2:08 p.m. An officer served a woman in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center a warrant at 730 E. Driscoll St.

2:22 p.m. A man was trespassed for shoplifting at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.

3:32 p.m. A woman was arrested for suspicion of underage consumption, open container, and possession of alcohol in the park at 425 N. Roger Smith Ave.

4:55 p.m. A man who was using an extension cord to steal electricity from a neighbor was cited with second-degree criminal tampering at 815 S. Chesnut St.
