Thursday, June 22

1:53 a.m. A woman who had received a no-trespass order from Speedway, 2021 E. Main St., was seen at the store. She was arrested in the lower 100 block of Cactus Street on suspicion of trespassing and violating a protection order.

10:31 a.m. A man at Speedway, 921 E. Main St., was arrested on three warrants.

6:18 p.m. An officer served a warrant to man in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 720 E. Driscoll St.

6:37 p.m. A man who left a bag on the porch of a friend’s house in the 200 block of West Coronado Street and noticed it was missing. The bag contained several bills of sale, $300, a pocket watch, military paperwork and a birth certificate.

Friday, June 23

1:06 a.m. A man at Mountain View Trailer Park, 815 Chestnut St., noticed his motorized bicycle was missing. The bike is valued at $400.

10:21 a.m. A woman in the 500 block of North Harrison Street noticed her child’s bicycle was missing.

1:30 p.m. A man found a bicycle near the intersection of West Main Street and North Linden Street. The bike was missing the seat, and the tires were flat.

10:04 p.m. A man in the 1200 block of East Main Avenue approached an officer performing a traffic stop and yelled at the officer. The officer told the man to stay away while the officer was performing the traffic stop. The man continued to approach and yell until another man pulled him away. The officer finished the stop and arrested the man on suspicion of violating a protection order and obstruction.

Saturday, June 24

11:21 a.m. A woman walking in the 400 block of North Mildred Road was arrested on two warrants.

5:08 p.m. A man reported his child’s bike had been stolen. The child hid a bicycle in the alley behind La Casita, 332 E. Main St., around noon and when going to retrieve it around 4 p.m. the child could not find it.

6:48 p.m. A man drove up to a gas pump at Maverik, 455 N. State St., and was given a verbal warning for driving with a suspended license. The man was arrested on a warrant.

Sunday, June 25

4:25 a.m. A woman playing music loudly from her car for several people at Mountain View Trailer Park, 815 S. Chestnut St., was given a verbal warning. After the officer left, the woman turned the music back up and the officer returned to serve the woman with summons on suspicion of disturbing the peace.

5:07 a.m. A man who allegedly tried to take tools without paying from Big R, 1319 E. Main St., was arrested on suspicion of trespassing and shoplifting. The tools were valued at $64.97.

8:11 p.m. A man at Cedar Terrace Apartments, 417 S. Cedar St., was arrested on two warrants.

8:58 p.m. A man at Maverik, 455 N. State St., flagged down an officer to turn himself in on three warrants.

9:48 p.m. A man lying in the grass at McDonald’s, 1322 E. Main St., was arrested on four warrants.

9:54 p.m. A man at National 9 Inn, 301 W. Main St., was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order.

11:38 p.m. A man turned himself over to the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., on a warrant.

Monday, June 26

7:29 a.m. A man turned himself over to the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., on a warrant.

9:13 a.m. A man found a bicycle in a bush on his property in the lower 100 block of North Washington Street.

11:56 a.m. A man at Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St., threatened to stab a man and waved a knife at him. The man with the knife was arrested on a warrant and on suspicion of violating protection order. Brass knuckles were found on the man during his arrest.

3:24 p.m. A man near the intersection of First Street and Ash Street was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order.

4:11 p.m. An officer served a warrant to a man in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

4:24 p.m. A man double-parked in the 200 block of North Market Street was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and failure to provide insurance.

5:45 p.m. A man in the 1300 block of East Main Street was cited with trespassing at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.

6:03 p.m. A man in the Walmart parking lot, 1835 E. Main St., was arrested on two warrants.

7:37 p.m. Two men were in a physical fight in the 200 block of West Coronado Avenue and one of the men left. The man who left was arrested in the lower 100 block of East North Street on a warrant. Both men stated the other man started the fight and no witnesses saw the fight.

Tuesday, June 27

3:42 a.m. A man in the 200 block of South Washington Street told officers he had been hit in the face twice by his friend and had his new game console stolen. The friend denied hitting the man or taking the game console and allowed officers to search his residence in the 200 block of East Third Street. The officers did not find the console and could not confirm an assault occurred.

2:18 p.m. An officer served a warrant to a man in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

4:56 p.m. A woman left Veterans Park, 20 N. Park St., by driving South on North Park Street and circled back around to where she left the park by taking East Main Street, North Harrison Street, East Montezuma Avenue and back onto North Park Street. The woman then exited her car and fell to the ground. While driving the woman almost hit two vehicle and a curb. The woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, driving without insurance, driving without a license, a protection order violation and weaving.

8:65 p.m. A man at the Sleeping Ute Apartments, 516 S. Madison St., was arrested on two warrants and on suspicion of violating a protection order and criminal trespassing.

9:42 p.m. A woman driving in the 300 block of South Broadway was pulled over for expired plates. The woman was cited with driving with revoked license, driving without insurance and displaying expired plates.

Wednesday, June 28

1:49 p.m. A person using the Big O parking lot, 1856 E. Main St., to turn around hit and knocked over a motorcycle. The person then left the parking lot driving east onto East Main Street.

2:02 p.m. An officer served two warrants to two men, one to each man, in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

8:24 p.m. A man at Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St., was arrested on two warrants and on suspicion of violating a protection order.

9:05 p.m. A small dog near the intersection of North Ash Street and East MacArthur Avenue was taken by an officer back to its’ owner in the 500 block of North Ash Street. The owner was issued summons on suspicion of letting a dog run at large.

The Journal
