Thursday, June 8

10:41 a.m. A woman in the 400 block of South Maple Street noticed all four tires on her vehicle had been punctured.

4:40 p.m. Two women got into a physical fight at Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St. One woman was cited with disorderly conduct and fighting in public. She was also trespassed from all city parks for 30 days. The other woman was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order, disorderly conduct and criminal trespass.

6:33 p.m. Two juveniles were seen by the janitor in Kemper Elementary School, 620 E. Montezuma Ave. The janitor called out to the two people, and they ran separate ways out of the school.

7:12 p.m. A man moving out of a home in the 300 block of Linden Street noticed his garage had been rummage through and some of his mother’s items were missing. The items taken were a blue tote, a sewing machine, a seam machine and a crock pot. The total value of the missing items is $670.

8:50 p.m. A man riding an electric bike in the 200 block of East Seventh Street crashed when trying to avoid hitting a truck that pulled out in front of him.

Friday June 9

12:57 a.m. A man sleeping in front of the Montezuma County Clerks Office, 140 W. Main St., was arrested on a warrant.

11 a.m. A man at Speedway, 2021 E. Main St., was arrested on a warrant and on suspicion of violating a protection order.

12:08 p.m. A man turned himself over to the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., on a warrant.

2:07 p.m. A woman at Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St., was cited with trespassing.

2:44 p.m. A man smashed out a window on a truck in the 1200 block of East Main Street. The man was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest, obstruction and criminal mischief. During the arrest, the man tried to run from officers and was taken to the ground.

4:56 p.m. A man and woman in Montezuma Park, 15 W. Montezuma Ave., were engaged in a sexual act. The woman was cited with indecent exposure and trespassing. The man was cited with possessing an open container, possessing alcohol in a park and indecent exposure.

8:27 p.m. Two men walking in the 100 block of East Main Street were laughing at a bumper sticker on a parked black Kia when the driver came out and started yelling at them. The driver then punched one of the men in the ear and drove off.

11:36 p.m. A woman getting off her shift at McDonald’s, 1322 E. Main St., noticed someone had damaged her car. A house key was broken off in the ignition, knobs on the center console were damaged, the sunglasses compartment and trim on one side were ripped off, and the windshield wiper lever was broken. The total estimated cost of the damage is $800.

Saturday, June 10

7:30 a.m. A man in the 400 block of West Fourth Street noticed his handgun was missing from the glove box of his Jeep.

3:12 p.m. An abandoned bike in the 800 block of South Broadway was turned over to an officer.

3:45 p.m. A man laying the Walmart parking lot, 1835 E. Main St., was cited with trespassing.

7:07 p.m. Two men outside a home in the Happy Valley Trailer Park, 203 E. Seventh St., were cited with trespassing. About 8:12 p.m. the two men returned to the home and laid down on a trampoline in the front yard. Both men were arrested on suspicion of trespassing.

10:07 p.m. A vehicle in the 500 block of Patton Drive caught fire. The woman driving pulled over and exited the vehicle. The fire department responded and put out the fire.

Sunday, June 11

1:41 p.m. A woman yelling at people in Veterans Park, 830 E. Montezuma Ave., refused to leave at the request of officers. The woman was arrested on a warrant and cited with possessing alcohol in a park.

Monday, June 12

1:26 a.m. A man at Tomahawk Motel, 728 S. Broadway, was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order.

11:54 a.m. A man at the Montezuma County combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., was arrested on a warrant.

1:37 p.m. A man drinking alcohol at Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St., was arrested.

3:01 p.m. A man at the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., was arrested on a warrant.

5:22 p.m. A woman outside the Cortez Colorado Welcome Center, 928 E. Main St., was cited with trespassing.

6:56 p.m. A woman trying to enter a car that did not belong to her in the Cortez Colorado Welcome Center parking lot, 928 E. Main St., was arrested on suspicion of trespassing and resisting arrest.

7:10 p.m. When an employee at City Market, 508 E. Main St., was collecting cash from registers he noticed one of the $20 bills was counterfeit.

8:38 p.m. A woman at Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St., was arrested on suspicion of trespassing.

Tuesday, June 13

7 a.m. A man at Oak Meadow Trailer Park, 405 W. Seventh St., damaged his father’s car with a key when his father kicked him and his girlfriend out of the home. The man was cited with criminal mischief.

7:57 a.m. A woman driving in the parking lot of Ziggi’s, 1204 E. Main St., hit a parked car and drove off. The woman claimed she left the parking lot because she was having a bad day. She was cited with failing to remain or return to the scene of an accident.

10:13 a.m. A woman at the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., was arrested on a warrant.

10:51 a.m. A woman backed her car into a gas meter at The Pie Maker, 17 N. Harrison St., causing a gas leak. The fire department was able to shut off the gas and no citation was issued.

2:02 p.m. A man turned himself over to the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., on a warrant.

7:44 p.m. A man walking in the 500 block of East Main Street was arrested on a warrant and on suspicion of littering and violating a protection order.
