Thursday, March 20

5 p.m. A woman who refused to leave the Happy Valley Trailer Park, 203 E. Seventh St., was arrested on suspicion of trespassing.

9:34 p.m. A man in the Walmart parking lot, 1835 E. Main St., was arrested on a warrant for failure to appeal. During the arrest, the man refused to exit his vehicle, and an officer broke the driver’s side window to pull him out. The man was cited with resisting arrest, obstructing an officer and trespassing.

Friday, March 31

10:38 a.m. A man who allegedly harassed people at Dolores State Bank, 744 E. Main St., was arrested in the parking lot of Liquid Assets, 718 E. Main St., on suspicion of violating three protection orders that restrict him from possessing or consuming alcohol. While the man was being medically cleared, he spit on the doctor and arresting officer. The man was cited with suspicion of second-degree assault.

11:02 a.m. A woman got into an argument with another woman and attacked her in the City Market parking lot, 508 E. Main St. The woman who was attacked did not want to pursue charges. The woman who attacked was cited with disturbing the peace.

2:44 p.m. A man and a woman fighting at Tomahawk Motel, 728 S. Broadway, were arrested. The man drew a chain with padlock attached and was grappled by police. Once handcuffed, he allegedly attempted to kick an officer, who then tased the man. The woman allegedly threw a shooter alcohol bottle at the officers. The man was cited with violating two protection orders, resisting arrest, obstruction and disorderly conduct. The woman was cited with obstruction and resisting arrest.

3:32 p.m. A man who took two beers from City Market, 508 E. Main St., was given a no-trespassing order and cited with shoplifting.

Saturday, April 1

4:45 a.m. A woman in the 800 block of South Chestnut Street reported that her car was missing.

7:47 a.m. An intoxicated man was found sleeping in the laundry room of a house in the 1100 block of South Chestnut Street and was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order. The man said he believed he had entered his sister’s home, which is in Happy Valley Trailer Park, 203 E. Seventh St.

3:25 p.m. A man who was unconscious in his car outside Big O, 1856 E. Main St., was arrested on suspicion of DUI, no proof of insurance, driving with a restrained license and resisting arrest. During the arrest, the man ran and was tackled and tased by an officer.

Sunday, April 2

10:12 p.m. A woman’s dogs got sick from pizza crusts in her backyard in the 1600 block of East Downey Avenue. She believes a man who is restrained from contacting her threw the crusts into her backyard. The man had not been contacted at the time of the report.

10:51 p.m. A woman in the Walmart parking lot, 1835 E. Main St., was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order that restricts her from possessing or consuming alcohol.

Wednesday, April 5

10:38 a.m. An officer served warrants to a man and a woman in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

10:51 a.m. Two bicycles abandoned at Jimmy’s Transmission, 210 E. Main St., on April 3 were turned over to an officer.

1:56 p.m. An intoxicated man allegedly entered his mother’s residence, 516 S. Madison St., broke a door and rummaged through her car. He was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order, criminal mischief and criminal trespass.

4:01 p.m. A woman found that her granddaughter had taken her debit card and had spent money at many locations in Towoac and two locations in Cortez.

6:37 p.m. A man who was hiding in the attic of his mother’s house in the 400 block of South Maple Street was arrested on two warrants.

8:53 p.m. A woman near the intersection near West Seventh Street and South Oak Street requested a courtesy ride to a shelter and was found to have keys on her that belonged to a car that was missing from Utah. The woman surrendered the keys, and the man who owned the car was set to pick the vehicle up the next day. As the vehicle was not listed as stolen and no charges were being pursued the woman was released to a shelter.
