Thursday, Feb. 16

10:11 a.m.: An employee of Hunan’s Chinese Restaurant, 2561 E. Main St., found a window had been pushed in and the cash register had been emptied. Because of a burglary several days before, only change was kept overnight in the register. An officer found shoe prints that matched those of a man who arrested Jan. 6 on suspicion of burglary. On Feb. 20, the employee noticed 12 checks were missing from the restaurant’s checkbook.

3:51 p.m.: A woman was arrested on a warrant in the 2300 block of East Main Street.

7:36 p.m.: A woman driving a truck was unconscious in the McDonald’s drive-thru, 1322 E. Main St. The woman stated she had been drinking, did not perform roadside maneuvers satisfactorily, and was arrested on suspicion of DUI and DUI per se. A breath analysis showed a 0.234 BAC

Friday, Feb. 17

1:30 a.m.: Two men fled on foot across a field after a truck pulling a trailer that had been reported stolen was pulled over in the 24500 block of Road L. One officer detained a woman in the truck, and two others went after the men. The men were found in a house and RV in the 24400 block of Road L. The owner of the truck had lent it to the woman. The owner of the property confirmed the men lived where they were found. The owner of the trailer confirmed the trailer had been found in a sale barn and was no longer considered stolen. One man was arrested on a Department of Corrections flight-escape warrant, and the other was arrested on four warrants.

8:37 a.m.: A man sleeping in a car in the 500 block of South Madison Street was arrested on a warrant.

11:34 a.m.: A woman who was indefinitely trespassed from City Market, 508 E. Main St., was found in the store and cited with trespassing.

1:25 p.m.: A woman was cited with following too closely after her VW Jetta ran into the rear bumper of a gray Chrysler van at North Mildred Avenue and Main Street.

2:43 p.m.: A man who was indefinitely trespassed from Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., was found in the store and was cited with trespassing.

3:14 p.m.: A woman in the 200 block of East Main Street was arrested on a warrant and on suspicion of violating a protection order that restricts her from consuming alcohol.

3:29 p.m.: A woman in the lower 100 block of West Main Street was arrested on six warrants.

9:46 p.m.: A man was cited with aggravated motor vehicle theft after he stopped making $400 payments to a woman for the $8,000 purchase of a GMC Yukon.

Saturday, Feb. 18

12:26 p.m.: A man in the 1800 block of East Main Street was arrested on a warrants.

8:42 p.m.: A man was arrested in the lower 100 block of East First Street after someone at Main Street Brewery, 21 E. Main St., reported a man was trying to start a fight. He apparently walked away from an officer and was arrested on suspicion of obstructing and resisting arrest.

Sunday, Feb. 19

8:12 a.m.: A man in a room at the Super 8 Motel, 505 E. Main St., was arrested on three warrants, issued an indefinite trespass order for the motel and cited with violating a protection order that restricts him from consuming or possessing alcohol. During the arrest, the officer threatened to use his Taser, and put a WRAP restraint on the man’s legs and used the man’s jugular notch to force him to sit down. The officer stated the man threw himself to the ground; the man said the officer pushed him. The officer’s body camera came off twice during the arrest.

10:15 a.m.: A man who was seen drinking alcohol in a car in the LivWell parking lot, 1819 E. Main St., did not perform roadside maneuvers satisfactorily, and was arrested on suspicion of DUI, underage drinking and having an unreadable plate. A breath analysis showed a BAC of 0.065.

11:51 a.m.: A man driving a white Ford F-150 ran into the rear bumper of a black Cadillac SUV at North Market Street and Main Street. The man driving the Ford was issued a penalty assessment for careless driving.

12:14 p.m.: A man driving a borrowed gray Lexus swerved through a fence and broke a gas line after allegedly running a stop sign at South Market and West Seventh streets. The man drove off and was later found at the Oak Meadows Trailer Park, 405 W. Seventh St. The man crashed into a mobile home before heading on foot to the 300 block of South Park Street, where he was arrested. The man allegedly stole a miniature Doberman dog while was at the trailer park. He also is restrained from contacting the woman he borrowed the car from. He was cited on suspicion of DUI, criminal mischief, driving with a revoked license, driving uninsured, running a stop sign, hit-and-run, violating a protection order, obstruction, resisting, theft and eluding an officer.

Tuesday, Feb. 21

8:52 a.m.: A glass smoking pipe found at Montezuma-Cortez High School, 418 S. Silgo St., was turned over to an officer.

10:26 a.m.: A man noticed his mobile game console was missing and believed it was stolen a week ago from his car in the 200 block of East Seventh Street.

2:18 p.m.: A man in the 200 block of Pinon Drive was arrested on a failure-to-appear warrant.

2:51 p.m.: A man who was indefinitely trespassed from City Market, 508 E. Main St., was found in the store and arrested on suspicion of trespassing.

3:30 p.m.: A man and a woman near the intersection of North Adams Street and East Montezuma Avenue were arrested on warrants.

9:04 p.m.: A woman in the 600 block of South Broadway was arrested on a warrant.

10:24 p.m.: A man driving a car without a rear taillight was pulled over in the 900 block of North Dolores Road after failing to use a turn signal. He stated he did not have his driver’s license or registration and that he had been smoking cannabis. He did not perform roadside maneuvers satisfactorily and refused to provide a Express Consent sample on the basis of religion. The man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, failing to signal, displaying expired plates, and driving without a taillight.
