Friday Aug. 25

1:59 p.m.: A man was issued summons for third-degree assault. He reportedly went to 30 N. Beech St. to confront someone about his girlfriend quitting because of a political argument.

2:33 p.m.: A call for trespass resulted in the arrest of one person on two warrants in the parking lot of 2021 E. Main St.

8:30 p.m.: A man was cited for trespassing and shoplifting at Safeway, 1580 E. Main St.

11:32 p.m.: A argument between a man and a woman, on the 600 block of South Chestnut Street, led to the man being arrested for a warrant.The officers who arrested him happened to walk as the couple was yelling.

Saturday Aug 26

10:13 a.m.: A officer saw a woman walking near the Cortez Public Library and arrested her for a warrant.

3:13 p.m.: A man was arrest on suspicion of menacing with a weapon at the Bridge Emergency Shelter.

5:19 p.m.: A man was issued summons for theft from the Walmart at 1835 E. Main St.

Sunday Aug. 27

1:30 p.m.: A man was reported stealing from Maverick Country Store, 455 N. State St. He was cited for trespass.

6:45 p.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order after being found holding a person in a chokehold at Centennial Park, 800 E. Montezuma Ave.

Monday Aug. 29

2:00 p.m.: A man was reported refusing to leave the Cortez Public Library. When the officer arrived it was found the man had a warrant and was arrested.

6:56 p.m. A man was arrested for several warrants at the Veterans Park. 803 E. Main St.
