Friday, May 13

1:26 p.m.: A man was given a summons for possessing an open container of alcohol in the 500 block of S. Madison St.

9:43 a.m.: An employee reported the theft of cash from a car wash coin box in the 400 block of E. Main St.

Saturday, May 14

5:40 a.m.: Police requested a warrant for a man suspected of third-degree assault and reckless endangerment after allegedly pepper-sprayed a driver at S. Madison and E. Main streets.

5:12 p.m.: A woman was arrested on an active warrant after she was questioned about leaving three children in a car at a store in the 200 block of S. Sligo St.

12:56 a.m.: An officer observed a woman holding onto a vehicle’s door handle as it drove away from a bar in the 300 block of N. Broadway, and demanded that the male driver stop the vehicle. The woman was arrested on an active warrant, and the male was arrested on suspicion of criminal impersonation, resisting arrest and criminal mischief.

12:56 a.m.: A male driver was pulled over for allegedly running a stop sign at N. Pinon Drive and Broadway, and given a summons for disregarding a stop sign, DUI and DUI per se.

Sunday, May 15

9:59 p.m.: A man was arrested outside a liquor store in the 400 block of E. Main St. for disturbing the peace during a confrontation with a store clerk.

10:48 a.m.: A man was arrested on an active warrant from Dolores in the 1200 block of Montelores Ave.

2:20 a.m.: A woman accused a man of striking her face during an argument outside a bar in the 300 block of N. Broadway, but because of conflicting accounts, no charges were filed. The man, however, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and DUI per se at 2:40 a.m.

1:25 a.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of first-degree trespass, menacing and violating a no-alcohol order after alledgedly entering a home and brandishing a knife in the 600 S. Chestnut St.

Monday, May 16

8:02 a.m.: A man reported that a loaded 9mm ammunition magazine had been stolen from his pickup truck, parked at his residence in the 10 block of W. 15th St. Three neighbors also reported vehicle break-ins.

Tuesday, May 17

11:52 p.m.: A man was arrested outside City Market on suspicion of theft, criminal mischief and resisting arrest after he was seen breaking a plant pot. After resisting being handcuffed, he was taken down with a straight arm bar technique and restrained with pressure to a mandibular nerve under his jaw.

5:53 p.m.: A Bureau of Reclamation office in the 10 block of S. Cactus St. reported that a $250 window had been shot out by a BB gun.

3:27 p.m.: A man reported that a Glock 9mm handgun and ammunition – valued at $579 for the gun and $40 for the ammunition – had been stolen from his pickup truck, parked at his home in the 700 block of Birch Drive.

Wednesday, May 18

9:15 p.m.: A woman reported that her sister had shot out a window of her car, parked at a trailer home in the 600 block of N. Elm St., but her sister had an alibi, and police have no suspects.

2:20 p.m.: A pedestrian in the 900 block of N. Main St. was given a summons for possessing/consuming a marijuana-infused drink in public.

5:55 p.m.: A woman reported that she was bitten by a Chihuahua at a residence in the 300 block of N. Broadway after she saved it from a Rottweiler’s jaws. The Chihuahua died, and was placed in a cooler so it could be tested for rabies.

7:41 p.m.: A man reported that kids were seen taking a $76 wagon from his yard in the 100 block of S. Washington St., and he showed the investigating officer an unopened Sony sound system in his shed. The man said the sound system did not belong to him. Ownership was traced to Wal-Mart, and it was returned.

5:37 p.m.: A man was arrested at his sister’s home in the 600 block of S. Washington St. on an active warrant and for violating bond conditions.

9:40 a.m.: A woman was arrested on an active warrant at District Court, 109 E. Main St.

12:31 a.m.: Police responded to a report of domestic violence in the 10 block of N. Beech St. and arrested one woman on suspicion of violating a pretrial ban on alcohol consumption, domestic violence, false imprisonment and third-degree assault. The woman’s girlfriend was arrested for violating a pretrial ban on alcohol consumption.
