Friday, July 2

12:15 p.m. A woman was cited on suspicion of driving without a valid license and making a right turn from the wrong lane during a crash investigation in the 400 block of South Broadway.

1:15 p.m. A man was arrested on an active warrant in the 800 block of South Broadway.

3 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of turning left in front of traffic during a crash investigation in the 2500 block of East Main Street.

3:16 p.m. Theft of a wallet was reported at a store in the 500 block of East Main Street.

6:52 p.m. A dog bite was reported in the 1300 block of North Mildred Road.

11:48 p.m. A man was arrested on an active warrant in the 700 block of East Main Street.

Saturday, July 3

7:57 a.m. Graffiti and a broken window were reported in the 20 block of South Mildred Road.

Sunday, July 4

2:41 a.m. A woman was trespassed from a property and another woman was arrested on active warrants in the 600 block of South Broadway.

3:19 a.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, careless driving and prohibited use of weapons in the 500 block of South oak Street. A handgun was found in the vehicle during the investigation.

6:20 p.m. Two men were cited on suspicion of underage consumption and interfering with a police officer and another man was cited on suspicion of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and underage possession of alcohol in the 400 block of Roger Smith Avenue.

9:59 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of operating an uninsured vehicle during a crash investigation in the 500 block of East Main Street.

Monday, July 5

9:40 a.m. A two-vehicle crash occurred on private property in the 2000 block of East Main Street.

11 a.m. A woman reported to an officer that, while camping over the weekend, she was assault by her boyfriend at Cortez Police Department, 865 N. Park St.

11:47 a.m. A man was arrested on four active warrants and cited on suspicion of violating a protection order in the 500 block of South Valley Road.

8:09 p.m. A dog was running loose and causing a disturbance in the 800 block of East Third Street.

8:42 p.m. Vandalism was reported in the 600 block of South Broadway. The claim was determined to be unfounded.

9:23 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of DUI and DUI per se and another man was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order in the 500 block of West Main Street.

Tuesday, July 6

9:04 a.m. A attempted burglary was reported in the 1600 block of East Main Street. Someone attempted to pry a coin vault off a wall.

10:40 a.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing in the 500 block of East Main Street.

5:57 p.m. A man was arrested on an active warrant during a disturbance investigation and multiple people were trespassed from the property in the 800 block of South Chestnut Street.

9:23 p.m. A man was arrested on an active warrant during a disturbance investigation in the 400 block of North State Street.

11:41 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of operating an uninsured vehicle, driving under restraint, failure to signal, failure to register a vehicle and a vehicle having no plate attached in the 500 block of Chamblee Street.

Wednesday, July 7

1:52 p.m. A man turned himself in on an active warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 865 N. Park St.

2:24 p.m. A woman allegedly hit another car with her vehicle’s door in the 400 block of North State Street. She could not be located for questioning.

Thursday, July 8

2:16 p.m. A man was arrested on two active warrants in the 500 block of South Broadway. A knife and several items of drug paraphernalia were found during a search.

10:46 p.m. A generator was stolen from a truck in the 200 block of South Elm Street.
