Friday, May 28

12:13 p.m. A man was arrested on an active warrant during a traffic stop in the 800 block of East Third Street.

12:27 p.m. A woman was cited on suspicion of criminal mischief for allegedly throwing rocks through someone’s window in the 1000 block of East Second Street.

1:47 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of protection order violation for consuming alcohol in the 100 block of North Adams Street.

2:09 p.m. A man was arrested on an active warrant at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

7:31 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of criminal mischief for drawing on a business wall in the 500 block of East Main Street.

8:24 p.m. A man was arrested on an active warrant in the 400 block of South Broadway.

Saturday, May 29

11:10 a.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of vehicular eluding, operating an uninsured vehicle, operating an unregistered vehicle, driving without a valid license, reckless driving and failure to stop at a stop sign in the 700 block of South Chestnut Street. He allegedly eluded police for 1.4 miles before crashing his dirt bike and being apprehended.

2:45 p.m. A woman was arrested on an active warrant in the 800 block of East Montezuma Avenue.

6:58 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order by consuming alcohol in the 600 block of East Main Street.

11:03 p.m. A man was arrested on an active warrant during a traffic stop in the 1500 block of East Seventh Street.

Sunday, May 30

9:08 a.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of identity theft, obstruction and resisting arrest in the 1800 block of East Main Street. He allegedly stole a wallet out of a rental car and used a credit card, then attempted to flee arrest. A woman was later arrested on suspicion of identity theft, criminal possession of financial devices and possession of a weapon by a previous offender. A third suspect is still being investigated.

5:49 p.m. A man was arrested on an active warrant in the 600 block of South Broadway.

7:53 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of public indecency for defecating in public in the 200 block of South Madison Street.

Tuesday, June 1

4:02 a.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of protection order violation in the 100 block of South Washington Street. He allegedly contacted a woman he was restrained against, while drunk, and held her down by the neck.

11:31 a.m. Copper wiring was stolen from a job site in the 100 block of East First Street.

5:19 p.m. A man was arrested on two active warrants and cited on suspicion of possession of an illegal weapon in the 80 block of South Harrison Street. A butterfly knife was found on his person during a search.

7:33 p.m. A man was arrested on two active warrants and cited for a protection order violation and violating bond conditions in the 700 block of West Seventh Street.

9:51 p.m. A woman turned herself in on a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

11:49 p.m. A male inmate was served a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Wednesday, June 2

8:35 a.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary, theft and criminal mischief in the 500 block of East Main Street. He allegedly broke into a business garage, urinated in a bucket and stole items.

8:54 a.m. A woman was taken into custody on an active warrant at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

11:10 a.m. A male inmate was served a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

12:29 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order in the 200 block of North Edith Street.

1:50 p.m. A male inmate was served two warrants at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

8:26 p.m. A phone was found and turned over to police in the 500 block of East Main Street. Based on notifications, the phone appeared to be used for drug transactions.

9:51 p.m. A woman was arrested on a warrant in the 400 block of North Mildred Street.
