Friday, June 21

A woman was upset, saying that she just wanted to leave and get away from her roommate. Her roommate said that he went to open the door to the bathroom, not knowing that the woman was in there and accidentally hit her with the door. When she got hit with the door, it made her mad so she bit his arm, causing it to bleed. The woman was asked what had happened to the man’s arm and she said that she bit him. The officer asked her if the man knew she was in the bathroom and she said, “He should have.” The woman was arrested and taken to the E.R. because she was complaining of shoulder pain. While speaking with the doctor she told him the injury to her shoulder happened a week ago.

Tuesday, June 25

Dispatch requested an officer to East Downey Avenue for a burglary. A woman got a call from her son saying that his cousin was knocking at the door and that he and his siblings were hiding in the bedroom. The woman said that the cousin was not supposed to be at the house. The woman told her son not to come out of the room until she got to the house. When the woman got to the house she could tell that somebody had been in the house and some things were missing. One of the girls said that her underwear was missing. Knowing that he has been in trouble for taking underwear before, they accused the man of taking hers. The police went to the man’s house to question him. The man denied taking anything. An officer noticed a pair of underwear underneath a pillow in a bedroom and asked him to go get the underwear. The man removed several pairs of underwear and set them on the stand in his room. The cop asked why he was taking little girls’ underwear and he said that he thought they were adults’. When the man was being transported to the jail he began crying and apologizing. At the jail he was asked what had happened, he began crying so hard that the officer could not understand him. The man then threw himself on the floor and began kicking his legs. The jail staff took custody of the man and called for medics to respond. The medics transported the man to the hospital to be cleared.

Wednesday, June 26

Police reported to West Montezuma Avenue in reference to a report of domestic violence. When police arrived, there was a woman who was very upset because she and her boyfriend had been drinking and got into an argument. The woman said that her boyfriend had shoved her into the wall, threw her down on the bed, choked her and punched her in the stomach. Later, the man was arrested and issued a summons. The man refused to speak with the victim’s advocate but did agree to filling out a domestic violence case summary.
