Tuesday, Feb. 12

11:26 a.m.: A man was arrested on two failure to appear warrants on the 700 block of W. Seventh St.

Wednesday, Feb. 13

9:06 a.m.: A woman reported that her tires had been slashed on her 2016 Jeep on the 500 block of S. Madison St. Repairs were valued at $278.

12:34 p.m.: A woman walking through Centennial Park, at 800 E. Montezuma Ave., was arrested on a failure to appear warrant and protection order violation.

4:32 p.m.: A man pulled over in the 10 block of N. Elm St. for a defective brake light was cited for no driver’s license, no insurance and open container. A male passenger was arrested for possession of meth and previous offender in possession of a handgun. A female passenger was arrested on a felony warrant for impersonation and a felony investigation hold for criminal impersonation. Another female passenger was given a courtesy ride to court for a 2:30 p.m. plea hearing.

4:37 p.m.: A woman was arrested for DUI while in the drive-through lane at McDonald’s, 1322 E. Main St. She was allegedly driving with a revoked license and was a habitual traffic offender. A passenger was arrested on a warrant.

5:44 p.m.: A man yelling outside of City Market, at 508 E. Main St., to get his friend’s attention was arrested on an failure to comply warrant.

7:37 p.m.: A man reported that someone had broken into his vehicle on the 200 block of E. North St. He reported missing a $200 Ruger rifle, a $700 Savage 17 HMR rifle, a $700 chipped key, $100 hunting flashlight and $40 cash.

Thursday, Feb. 14

6:39 p.m.: A man was arrested for DUI and child abuse for driving while intoxicated with a 5-year-old child unrestrained and unbuckled in the backseat of a silver Daewoo on the 100 block of S. Elm St. He was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital for intoxication, then taken to Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

6:18 p.m.: A northbound vehicle on U.S. Highway 491 attempted to turn on Lebanon Road, but slid over a median and across a traffic lane into a field. The driver’s side door was damaged.

11:59 p.m.: A man was arrested for DUI after allegedly weaving and giving an improper turn signal on the 100 block of S. Chestnut St. He admitted to drinking two shots of vodka and two beers at Blondie’s Trophy Room, at 45 E. Main St. He said he wants to quit drinking.

Friday, Feb. 15

12:59 p.m.: A woman was arrested on a failure to appear warrant on the 500 block of N. Park St.

10:48 p.m.: A man was arrested for possibly driving under the influence of drugs after rear-ending a vehicle at the intersection of E. Main St. and N. State St. The man was speaking about “witches” and “curses” and was unable to remember that he was in an accident. He refused consent to sign for a blood test because he didn’t want them to put demons in his body.

Saturday, Feb. 16

4:59 a.m.: A woman reported that another woman was trying to stab her at Sleeping Ute Apartments, at 516 S. Madison St. The woman who called the police was arrested on a municipal warrant.

4:08 p.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant at a residence on the 700 block of N. Mildred Rd.

11:31 p.m.: A woman at Walmart, at 1835 E. Main St., was arrested on a failure to appear warrant.
