Wednesday, Nov. 11

7:40 a.m. Theft was reported at a motel in the 400 block of South Broadway. A man rented a room then requested a refund because he needed to leave. When the manager checked the room, a woman lying on the bed jumped up, and several light bulbs fell from her sweater. She fled the scene. Other items were missing from the room as well.

12:09 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of trespassing in the 900 block of East Main Street. He had been previously trespassed from the property, and staff reported he attempted to shoplift items.

5:16 p.m. A woman was cited on suspicion of shoplifting at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.

Thursday, Nov. 12

3:16 p.m. An animal bite was reported in the 600 block of North Elm Street. A dog allegedly broke its chain, bit a man on the back of the leg and bit a woman on her hand.

10:42 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of first-degree criminal trespass, theft and illegal possession/consumption of alcohol by an underage person in the 10 block of West 10th Street. A man detained a man who was trespassing in his vehicle. Police investigation discovered evidence linking the suspect to other vehicle break-ins and thefts. The investigation is ongoing.

Friday, Nov. 13

7:16 p.m. A woman was cited on suspicion of careless driving, failure to notify police of an accident and leaving the scene of an accident in the 300 block of South Broadway. The woman was driving a semitrailer and allegedly hit a power pole when leaving a parking lot, sheering it in half.

10:13 p.m. A woman was cited on suspicion of domestic violence, third-degree assault and harassment and an emergency protection order was issued against her in the 600 block of South Washington Street. The woman allegedly attempted to attack her daughter and her husband stepped in front of the blows. She allegedly then fell into a chair and tripped over it, injuring her side. She was transported to the hospital for her injuries.

Saturday, Nov. 14

6:31 a.m. A woman reported threats made against her in the 500 block of East Main Street. An officer spoke to the suspect, and she denied making threats.

11:50 a.m. A hit-and-run crash was reported in the 1800 block of Main Avenue. The victim provided pictures of the damage, but it could not be determined where the crash occurred.

1:24 p.m. A woman reported her daughter as missing in the 1300 block of Mesa Verde Street. She had not been able to contact her daughter after leaving with several women on Nov. 12.

5:22 p.m. Flags were reported stolen in the 400 block of South Market Street. The suspect could not be identified on video surveillance.

7:19 p.m. A warrant was sought for a man on suspicion of domestic violence, third-degree assault, harassment and child abuse in the 1800 block of Main Street. A witness saw, and video surveillance captured, a man grab his girlfriend’s hair and knock her to the ground while holding his infant daughter. He then kicked the woman and hit her in the face with a baby blanket. He left the scene without the child.

Sunday, Nov. 15

2:25 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order by being in possession of alcohol and on two active warrants in the 400 block of East Main Street.

5:39 p.m. An assault was reported in the 800 block of East Main Street. A woman was allegedly attacked by three other women. She was transported to the hospital for treatment of her injuries.

9:51 p.m. A woman was arrested on suspicion of third degree assault, domestic violence, criminal mischief and illegal underage consumption of alcohol in the 500 block of South Madison Street. The woman allegedly broke a window in her mother’s residence then became physically aggressive, pushing her mother and striking her boyfriend.

Monday, Nov. 16

12:15 a.m. A man was cited on suspicion of second-degree burglary in the 900 block of East Main Street. The men had been previously trespassed from the property. He said someone else let him into the build and then he ate an orange. Officers found no other person in the building.

1:47 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of driving with a revoked license in the 1 block of West Empire Street. The man was also a suspect in a domestic violence incident and a Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office deputy was on scene to conduct an investigation.

3:18 p.m. A minor traffic accident occurred on private property in the 400 block of South Broadway. A woman allegedly backed out of a parking space and struck another vehicle.

3:46 p.m. A bike was reported stolen in the 600 block of South Broadway. It had been chained to a metal railing. There were no suspects.

9:52 p.m. A boy was bitten by the family’s dog in the 700 block of Aspen Drive. The dog was quarantined.

Tuesday, Nov. 17

3:06 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of failing to yield the right of way when turning into oncoming traffic in the 2300 block of East Main Street. The man said he saw the vehicle’s blinker on and thought it was turning, so he entered traffic. The driver did not turn, and the vehicles collided.

8:37 p.m. A male inmate was served a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
