9:47 a.m. Unemployment fraud was reported in the 1000 block of South Market Street.

1:46 p.m. Unemployment fraud was reported to an officer at Cortez Police Department, 608 N. Park St.

5:11 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of careless driving, and he and his wife were trespassed from the property 700 block of South Broadway. The man drove his vehicle over the entrance ledge, and the vehicle became stuck. The pair also allegedly harassed other guests.

10:03 p.m. A man ran from an officer and left behind a bike and a backpack containing drug paraphernalia in the 600 block of South Broadway.

Thursday, March 4

6:57 a.m. A man turned himself in on an active warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

7:54 a.m. Unemployment fraud was reported in the 23800 block of County Road M.

10:54 a.m. A man was cited for driving without a valid license after being involved in a traffic collision in the 300 block of East Main Street.

2:55 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of first-degree aggravated motor vehicle theft in the 400 block of East Main Street. He was involved in a verbal altercation with a women and allegedly broke her car window.

5:50 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, careless driving and an open container of marijuana in the 1 block of West Empire Street. He allegedly crashed his car into a traffic sign. -

10:19 p.m. During a traffic stop, officers confiscated a firearm and various types of drugs in the 400 block of South Market Street. -

Friday, March 5

9:56 a.m. A man was cited on suspicion of theft in the 500 block of East Main Street.

10:32 a.m. Unemployment fraud was reported in the 1700 block of Chessie Way.

11:06 a.m. Unemployment fraud was reported in the 500 block of East Main Street.

3:53 p.m. Fraud was reported in the 700 block of Wedgewood St. Someone attempted to purchase items on a woman’s Amazon account.

8:52 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of DUI and weaving in the 300 block of North Broadway.

Sunday, March 7

11:58 a.m. A man was cited on suspicion of unsafe backing in the 500 block of North Broadway. He allegedly backed his truck into another vehicle.

2:36 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of third-degree criminal trespass at a motel in the 600 block of South Broadway. He previously had been trespassed from the property.

5:32 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of criminal mischief in the 10 block of South Beech Street. He was allegedly involved in a physical altercation and threw a chair at a vehicle, breaking the window.

6:32 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of protection order violation due to consuming alcohol in the 400 block of East Third Street.

7:07 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of operating an uninsured vehicle, DUI and driving with a restrained license in the 1200 block of East Main Street.

10:20 p.m. A man turned himself in on an active warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll Street.

Monday, March 8

1:13 p.m. A summons was issued for a man on suspicion of disorderly conduct in the 500 block of South Linden Street. It will be served at a later time.

3:38 p.m. Elder abuse was reported in the 400 block of South Cedar Street. The investigation is ongoing.

5:25 p.m. A woman was cited on suspicion of failure to obey a traffic signal in the 1 block of South Ash Street. She allegedly ran a red light and caused a three-vehicle crash.

5:48 p.m. A woman reported fraud in the 500 block of East Main Street. She was contacted and told her computer had been hacked. She purchased $6,000 in gift cards and provided the numbers to the suspect.

7:09 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of theft in the 2600 block of Fairway Drive. He allegedly took $800 from a woman’s purse.

Tuesday, March 9

6:33 a.m. A man turned himself in on an active warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

8:06 a.m. Unemployment fraud was reported in the 600 block of Colorado Street.

8:59 a.m. Unemployment fraud was reported in the 400 block of North Market Street.

9:38 a.m. Check fraud was reported in the 100 block of North Chestnut Street.

10:03 a.m. A cold hit-and-run crash was reported in the 1400 block of East Main Street.

11:12 a.m. Unemployment fraud was reported in the 600 block of Detroit Avenue.

11:24 a.m. A woman was cited for failure to yield the right of way in the 1 block of North Madison. She allegedly turned in front of approaching traffic and caused an crash.

1:18 p.m. Credit card fraud was reported to an officer at Cortez Police Department, 608 N. Park St. The case is under investigation.

2:12 p.m. Unemployment fraud was reported in the in the 100 block of North Madison Street.

2:56 p.m. A civil dispute was reported in the 600 block of South Broadway. Neither party was able to provide evidence of ownership of the items in question.

3:05 p.m. Identity theft was reported in the 400 block of West Seventh Street.
