Thursday, Oct. 29

11:16 a.m. A man was ticketed for a dog running at large and no city license at Oak Meadows Trailer Park.

Friday, Oct. 30

9:04 a.m. A man reported that a 9mm semiautomatic handgun valued at $500 was missing from a vehicle that he previously sold.

9:57 a.m. A woman reported that her husband threw her to the ground and hit her in the nose at a residence on the 600 block of East Empire. No signs of physical injury was reported, and no charges were filed.

3 p.m. A woman reported a stolen bicycle from a residence on the 900 block of South Oak Street.

8:39 p.m. A pedestrian was arrested on an outstanding warrant along the 10 block of South Harrison Street.

Saturday, Oct. 31

12:17 a.m. A woman reportedly shot herself in the foot with a .45 caliber semi automatic handgun after someone approached her front door on the 1200 block of Jackson Street. A second round reportedly passed through a wall and over a sleeping roommate. Admitting she was unfamiliar with the weapon, the woman was ticketed for prohibited use of a weapon and reckless endangerment. The woman reportedly shot herself in the same foot earlier this year.

1:52 p.m. A woman was arrested in City Market on an outstanding warrant.

7:57 p.m. A woman reported that a pedestrian broke a side mirror on her vehicle while traveling on the 800 block of North Sligo Street.

Sunday, Nov. 1

12:19 a.m. A woman was arrested and held for investigation on charges of drug possession, drug paraphernalia, lack of insurance and expired tag after police observed a vehicle parked in front of a suspected drug house on East Third Street. A male passenger was also arrested on an outstanding warrant and held for investigation on drug possession and drug paraphernalia charges. After a K-9 unit alerted on the vehicle, police reportedly found 2.6 grams of meth, a glass pipe and Oxycodone and morphine pills.

2:20 a.m. A woman was arrested and charged with assault and domestic violence after police responded to a disturbance inside a residence on the 400 block of W. Fifth Street. The woman reportedly attacked her aunt.

2:38 p.m. A man was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license on the 300 block of South Broadway.

9:03 p.m. In response to a drunken-driving call from a citizen, a motorist was stopped for speeding, 44 in a 25 mph zone, and changing lanes without signaling on South Broadway near Arby’s. After refusing to submit to a blood test, the driver was arrested and charged with DUI, speeding, failure to use a turn signal and drug possession.

9:25 p.m. A man was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Oklahoma after police responded to a fight on the 1000 block of South Chestnut Street.

Monday, Nov. 2

9:57 a.m. A man reported witnessing a man remove a letter containing a $95 check from his mailbox on the 1400 block of Aldridge Drive. Some 20 minutes later, a similar report was received from a man on the 700 block of Hartman Drive involving six checks that totaled $2,288. Just before 3 p.m., a woman attempted to cash one of the stolen checks at Dolores State Bank for $2,300. The woman was arrested and held for a forgery investigation.

10:42 a.m. A nurse at Southwest Memorial Hospital reported that an ex-boyfriend assaulted her and stole her cell phone after she texted a married man. The suspect was arrested and charged with theft, harassment and domestic violence. The woman advised police that she wouldn’t assist with the prosecution.

4:09 p.m. A woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant and charged with abusing toxic vapors inside a vehicle at the municipal pool. The woman suffered frost burns on her forearm after trying to hide a bottle of Freon. The woman’s mother notified police after she found her daughter unconscious with two children in the vehicle.

Tuesday, Nov. 3

9:18 a.m. A woman reported that she hit herself in the face after her husband pushed her down inside their residence at Oak Meadows Trailer Park. The couple’s son was arrested on an outstanding warrant, and an arrest warrant was requested for the husband on charges of false imprisonment, harassment and domestic violence.

2:22 p.m. A motorist was stopped for failing to signal on the 400 block of South Broadway. The driver was ticketed for the traffic infraction and driving with a suspended license. The vehicle was seized and towed to the police department after a K-9 unit alerted on the vehicle. A search warrant was requested.

3:19 p.m. The owner at Rust Trailer Park reported that a man trespassed onto the property and left a wheelbarrow filled with miscellaneous electrical equipment. About two later, police returned to the scene after the trespassing suspect was involved in a fight. The man was arrested and charged with trespassing.

4:42 p.m. A woman reported that her ex-husband violated a protection order after he entered her residence on the 600 block of South Ash Street and accused her of infidelity. An arrest warrant was requested on charges of burglary, domestic violence, violating a protection order and violating bond conditions.

5:37 p.m. A woman reported that an Australian Shepard bit her twice and her son once while walking her dog on the 300 block of North Edith Street. A home confinement agreement was issued to the Australian Shepard’s owner.

5:45 p.m. A man was arrested and charged with alcohol possession at City Park after police responded to a disturbance.
