Wednesday, Sept. 26

1:22 p.m.: A man armed with a knife was arrested in City Park, 802 E. Main St., on suspicion of menacing and disorderly conduct after a park employee confronted him about breaking limbs off trees. The suspect was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital because of intoxication, then jailed.

6:39 p.m.: A car backed into another car in the parking lot in the 300 block of S. Broadway. Neither driver was cited.

10:52 p.m.: A man was arrested in City Park, 802 E. Main St., for violating an alcohol-related protection order. He was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital and jailed.

Thursday, Sept. 27

10:47 p.m.: A male driver was pulled over in the 600 block of E. Main St. and cited with operating an uninsured vehicle, driving with a suspended license and displaying fictitious plates.

12:55 p.m. A woman was arrested on a warrant in the 1700 block of E. Seventh St. after she got out of a vehicle and began to run into a field.

1 p.m.: A driver backed into a motorcycle in the Walmart parking lot, 1835 E. Main St., and knocked the motorcycle over.

1:34 p.m.: A semitrailer hit a parked car in the 10 block of W. Main St. at a construction site for a median. Because the car was parked 26 inches from the curb, not the maximum 12 inches required by ordinance, both drivers were deemed at fault.

8:57 p.m.: A driver reported that another driver had rear-ended her vehicle in the 100 block of E. Main St., then after the two talked, left the scene.

9:59 p.m.: A man and woman were arrested on warrants at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Friday, Sept. 28

6:39 p.m.: A man was arrested in City Park, 802 E. Main St., on suspicion of possessing brass knuckles drug paraphernalia and cited for possessing alcohol in the park. A second man was arrested on a warrant.

11:07 p.m.: A man led police on a pursuit from the 10 block of S. Madison St. to the 700 block of W. Seventh St., then was arrested on suspicion of DUI – possibly his fourth – speeding, violating an alcohol-related protection order and eluding police. He also was cited with child abuse because at least one of the children in the car was not restrained. Deputies transported the children’s mother to the scene.

Saturday, Sept. 29

1:22 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 300 block of W. Montezuma Ave. near Angel’s End Zone bar for violating alcohol-related bond conditions and a protection order after a report that he was yelling in an alley.

1:25 p.m.: A man was arrested for violating alcohol-related bond conditions after reporting scaring a girl during her birthday party in City Park, 802 E. Main St. He was medically cleared for intoxication at Southwest Memorial Hospital, then jailed.

3:25 p.m.: A man who reportedly was bothering drivers pulling into City Market, was found lying on a pile of clothing in the Methodist Thrift Store. He was arrested for being intoxicated in a roadway as he stumbled across Main St., and was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital, then jailed.

7:39 p.m.: A woman was arrested at the Maverick gas station, 455 State St., on suspicion of DUI, reckless driving, careless driving and failing to report damaging another vehicle after a minor collision in the 500 E. Montezuma St. She also was suspected of possessing a narcotic.

6:33 p.m.: After a report of a public disturbance, a woman was arrested on a warrant and cited on suspicion of false reporting after allegedly giving an officer a false identity.

9:47 p.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI and DUI per se in the City Market parking lot, 508 E. Main St.

11:02 p.m.: An intoxicated man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing and stealing $20 in goods at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.

Sunday, Sept. 30

12:03 a.m.: A female driver was arrested in the 1000 block of S. Broadway for DUI and weaving.

10:43 p.m.: A woman at the Holiday Inn Express, 2121 E. Main St., reported that her rented vehicle had been damaged.

11:14 a.m.: A man was arrested at City Park, 802 E. Main St., on a warrant and was placed on a felony hold for criminal impersonation for identifying himself as his brother.

Monday, Oct. 1

12:43 a.m.: A man was arrested for trespassing in the Walmart parking lot, 1835 E. Main St.

8:33 a.m.: A pedestrian was arrested on a warrant in the 300 block of S. Valley Road.

9:04 a.m.: A westbound vehicle in the one-way eastbound 300 block of E. Fourth St. collided with a parked vehicle facing east.

1:24 p.m.: A driver collided with a deer near N. Dolores Road and Barrett St. An officer euthanized the deer, and a friend of the driver’s retrieved the deer.

9:43 p.m.: A man was arrested for disturbing the peace after repeatedly yelling at a dog and the dog’s owner in the 1200 block of Montelores Ave.
