Sunday, April 22

2:23 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 500 block of North Elm Street on suspicion of DUI, driving without proof of insurance and careless driving after allegedly hitting a curb twice. He was cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital due to intoxication.

6:41 p.m.: Two men were arrested in the 10 block of East Main Street after police checked on three men lying in an alley. One was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order prohibiting him from drinking alcohol; the other, on a warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor. Both were cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital due to intoxication.

7:21 p.m.: A woman was arrested on a warrant and on suspicion of resisting arrest after a disturbance call in the 400 block of North Market Street. When contacted, she started walking away, and an officer tackled and handcuffed her.

8:33 p.m.: A man was cited on suspicion of DUI and two counts of driving under restraint in the 500 block of East Third Street after crashing his motorcycle into a mailbox, causing $15 in damage. He was taken to Southwest Memorial Hospital for his cuts, scrapes and “road rash” a foot injury.

8:33 p.m.: A woman was arrested at City Market, 508 E. Main St., on a La Plata County warrant. She was cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital due to intoxication.

Monday, April 23

12:41 p.m.: A man in the 200 block of South Park Street reported that his $1,000 Giant mountain bike went missing while he was at a friend’s house. The case remains under investigation.

10:40 p.m.: A man and two women were arrested in Centennial Park, 800 E. Montezuma Ave., for drinking alcohol in the park. The man was arrested on a municipal warrant, and the women were arrested on suspicion of violating protection orders prohibiting them from drinking alcohol. All three were cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital due to intoxication.

11:02 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 500 block of North Mildred Road for allegedly violating a protection order after “stumbling around” near the Centennial Park pond.

Tuesday, April 24

1:06 a.m.: A man said someone broke his bathroom window in 200 block of East Seventh Street while a man and woman argued outside. The woman refused to cooperate with police, the man with whom she argued could not be found, and the man who reported it changed his story. It remains under investigation.

10:34 a.m.: A woman was arrested in the 200 block of South Madison Street on a warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor and on suspicion of driving under restraint and without proof of insurance.

11:53 a.m.: A man was arrested in Parque De Vida, 400 N. Mildred Road, on suspicion of violating bond conditions, an open container violation and possessing alcohol in the park. A woman, who was reportedly on release for felony charges, was arrested on suspicion of an open container violation and possession of alcohol in the park. Three others were cited for open container and possession violations.

6:41 p.m.: A man was arrested at City Market, 508 E. Main St., on suspicion of trespassing after employees said he harassed customers. He was cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital due to intoxication.

11:27 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 70 block of West Main Street on suspicion of violating a protection order after police stopped him while he ran down the street. He reportedly said he was leaving Blondie’s Trophy Room because he had “enemies” there. He was cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital due to intoxication.

Wednesday, April 25

8:53 a.m.: A man turned himself in at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., and was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.

9:45 a.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

11:11 a.m.: A probation officer at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., reported a former client was trying to contact her via Facebook and the probation office phone since March 22 despite a protection order. Police did not request a warrant because the probation officer said she didn’t want her extradited to Colorado.

2:55 p.m.: A man was arrested at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., on a warrant for failure to comply.

7:24 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 500 block of South Madison Street on suspicion of criminal trespassing and use of a controlled substance after a disturbance call in the area. When police arrived, the man reportedly was reaching into the back of a pickup truck that belonged to a nearby apartment owner. The man also said he left a message on tape on the apartment door. Residents said the tape came from their apartment, and suspect he was getting inside while they were away.

9:45 p.m.: A woman was arrested in City Park, 802 E. Main St., on suspicion of violating municipal bond conditions after a report of a fight between her and another woman. The suspect had scratches on her face but couldn’t articulate whether she had been in a fight. She was cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital, then jailed.

11:27 p.m.: A woman was arrested in the 200 block of South Valley Road on a warrant for failure to appear on a local misdemeanor after a call about a fight between her and her husband that turned out to be an argument.

Thursday, April 26

1:48 p.m.: A woman was arrested at Wilson Monument Co., 15 N. Park St., for violating a protection order after reportedly lying unconscious among the headstones. She was cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital due to intoxication.

1:57 p.m.: A man was arrested at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., on a warrant for failure to appear on a local misdemeanor.

4:23 p.m.: A man was arrested at City Park, 802 E. Main St., on suspicion of third-degree assault after a man and woman said he punched them in the face. The suspect told police he was looking for someone who had beat him up a few days ago. He was medically cleared due to intoxication.

6:58 p.m.: A woman was cited for shoplifting at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., after trying to steal $332.68 worth of clothes and food. She said she was stealing for a friend who promised to pay her. She wouldn’t ID the friend.

7:56 p.m.: A man was arrested in City Park, 802 E. Main St., on a municipal warrant for failure to appear and on suspicion of third-degree assault and domestic violence after witnesses said he threw his girlfriend by her hair and one arm, giving her a bloody mouth. The girlfriend said nothing happened and she did not want to press charges. The suspect was medically cleared due to intoxication.

10:32 p.m.: A man was arrested at the skate park on 1200 E. Montezuma Ave. on suspicion of violating a protection order. He was medically cleared due to intoxication and a bloody lip. He told police he and another man had been “jumped” by a group of juveniles at the park, but the other man was also highly intoxicated and police were unable to get details.

10:37 p.m.: A man was arrested at Aneth Lodge, 645 E. Main St., on suspicion of obstruction, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after a report that he and others were banging on doors. While police talked with the group, the man reportedly started walking toward an officer, threatening him and asking him to use his stun gun. The officer pushed the man away, then drew his stun gun and tried to handcuff him with the help of another officer. The man resisted, and the other officer exposed him to a stun gun. The suspect was cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital due to the stun gun shot.

Friday, April 27

2:27 p.m.: A man reported that someone cut his internet in the 10 block of West Tenth Street.

11:48 p.m.: A man was arrested at National 9 Motel, 301 W. Main St., on a warrant for failure to appear on a local misdemeanor after a report of a hit-and-run in the parking lot. The man answered the door where the suspected female driver was staying, but he said he didn’t know where she went. He was cleared due to intoxication.

Saturday, April 28

12:08 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 300 block of South Broadway on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se and impeding traffic after driving 8-14 mph in a 40 mph zone. When asked to pull into a parking lot, he reportedly rolled his vehicle backward, almost hitting the patrol vehicle, then turned onto Third Street, where he parked in the eastbound traffic lane. His vehicle was turned over to his sister, who did not speak English and reportedly had nowhere to stay for the night. Officers checked her into a motel.

7:03 a.m.: A man reported that his $250 revolver was stolen from his unlocked vehicle in the 300 block of North Linden Street.

10:07 a.m.: A man reported that a window in his trailer in the 1000 block of South Chestnut Street had been broken, causing $100 in damage.

5:29 p.m.: A woman was arrested in Centennial Park, 800 E. Montezuma Ave., on suspicion of violating bond conditions after she reportedly harassed people. She was medically cleared due to intoxication.

5:32 p.m.: A man reported a revolver had been stolen from his vehicle in the 600 block of East Third Street.

10:26 p.m.: A man reported that a pit bull tied to a tree in a yard bit him when he tried to pet it. He was treated at Southwest Memorial Hospital for scratches and puncture wounds on his hands, and for intoxication. Police couldn’t find the dog.

Sunday, April 29

4:26 p.m.: A man was arrested at City Park, 802 E. Main St., on suspicion of possessing alcohol in the park and an open container violation. He was medically cleared due to intoxication.

11:59 a.m.: A man was arrested at South Chestnut and West Seventh Streets on suspicion of shoplifting after City Market employees reported he had stolen a magazine and a case of beer, valued at $29.98. He was medically cleared due to intoxication.

8:47 p.m.: A man was arrested at the skate park on 1200 E. Montezuma Ave. on suspicion of indecent exposure after reportedly urinating on a tree. He was medically cleared due to intoxication, abrasions on his face and an infection.

Monday, April 30

9:02 a.m.: A woman reported someone had scratched her vehicle, in the 500 block of North Elm Street, during the night, causing $1,000 in damage. She suspected it was connected to a man against whom she has a protection order.

12:38 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 20 block of East Andrew Lane after reportedly urinating on a woman’s lawn. He was medically cleared due to intoxication.

3:43 p.m.: A man who identified himself as “Bruce Lee” was arrested in City Park, 803 E. Montezuma Ave., on a local felony warrant and on suspicion of violating a protection order and false reporting to authorities after he tried to flip over a picnic table. He was arrested for possessing alcohol in the park, and while being taken to Southwest Memorial Hospital, he reportedly kicked and bent the patrol car door.

8:20 p.m.: A man was arrested at Giant Gas Station, 1300 E. Main St., on a warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge.

Tuesday, May 1

4:06 a.m.: A woman was arrested in the Walmart parking lot, 1835 E. Main St., on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se, driving under restraint and careless driving after she ran over a curb twice.

7:57 p.m.: A woman was arrested in the 100 block of North Washington Street on a warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor.

10:44 p.m.: A woman was arrested in the 1500 block of North Mildred Road on suspicion of driving under restraint, driving an uninsured vehicle and displaying a canceled number plate.
