Wednesday, Aug. 9

5:28 p.m.: A man was issued a summons in the 400 block of East Arbecam Avenue on suspicion of violating a protection order.

5:48 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 200 block of South Linden Street on suspicion of disturbing the peace and trespassing after police responded to a report of a break-in. A juvenile resident claimed the man had been loudly knocking on the door to her house. The man was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital before being taken to jail, due to severe intoxication.

7:23 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 500 block of East Main Street on suspicion of interfering with an officer after he reportedly threatened to attack a police officer who inquired after his welfare. When the man reportedly raised a fist and stepped toward the officer, the officer deployed his stun gun. The suspect was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital due to severe intoxication, and he also received medical help for the effects of the stun gun.

Thursday, Aug. 10

2:05 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 500 block of South Madison Street on a warrant for failure to appear on a local misdemeanor charge and on suspicion of violating a protection order after neighbors reported hearing a loud domestic dispute in his apartment. The man was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital due to severe intoxication.

4:06 p.m.: A woman was arrested at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., on suspicion of shoplifting and on an Aurora Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on a shoplifting charge after store employees claimed she and a man tried to steal fake eyelashes, deodorant and hygiene products. The man was also issued a summons on suspicion of shoplifting.

4:11 p.m.: A woman was served with three warrants for failure to appear at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

7:21 p.m.: A man was served with a warrant for failure to appear on a local misdemeanor charge at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Friday, Aug. 11

12:20 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 500 block of East Montezuma Avenue on two warrants for failure to appear on local misdemeanor charges after he reported property damage at his residence.

12:15 p.m.: A woman was cited in the 300 block of South Beech Street on suspicion of maintaining an animal that disturbed the peace and a dog at large. Another woman claimed the suspect’s dog had attacked her dog, leaving puncture wounds on its left hip. The suspect said she also received a small bite on her hand during the incident, and that her dog had never behaved that way before.

2 p.m.; Police responded to a report of a bicycle theft at United Methodist Church, 515 N. Park St. A man claimed his red mountain bike had been stolen from the church parking lot. The case remains under investigation.

3:35 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 200 block of West Main Street on suspicion of violating a protection order after police contacted a woman he was with in order to return some found property to her. The man was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital due to severe intoxication.

3:39 p.m.: A woman was cited on suspicion of a dog at large violation in the 800 block of South Oak Street after a neighbor claimed her pit bull ran into his yard.

Saturday, Aug. 12

12:41 a.m.: A woman was issued a summons in the 200 block of East First Street on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se and improper turning. The woman reportedly said she had been drinking at Angel’s End Zone after the Geer Memorial Car Show burn-out.

9:53 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 700 block of South Chestnut Street on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se, disregarding a stop sign, driving under restraint and underage consumption of alcohol.
