Wednesday, April 12

11:12 a.m.: A woman was arrested in the 200 block of East Seventh Street on suspicion of driving under revocation.

5:13 p.m.: Two women and a man were served with warrants for failure to appear at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

5:18 p.m.: Two men were arrested in the 1500 block of East Main Street. One was arrested on a warrant and on suspicion of unlawful possession and distribution of a Schedule I narcotic, possession of more than 12 ounces of marijuana, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with expired plates and driving without proof of insurance; the other was arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession and distribution of Schedule I and II narcotics and possession of more than 12 ounces of marijuana. Two large bags of marijuana, a 2-ounce bag of heroin and a glass pipe with residue responding officers believed to be methamphetamine were found in the men’s vehicle. Police released a third passenger in the vehicle who told them he believed there were drugs in the car, but they later sought a warrant for him after one of the arrestees claimed he was their supplier.

7:23 p.m.: A man was issued a summons on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia at Wal-Mart, 1835 E. Main St., after police responded to a report of a disturbance between him and another man. Responding officers found a pipe in his pocket which the man said he used to smoke methamphetamine.

8:42 p.m.: A man was issued a summons on suspicion of driving with expired plates in the 1000 block of East Main Street.

Thursday, April 13

12:54 a.m.: A man was issued a summons in the 400 block of East Main Street on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se, disregarding a stop sign and speeding 30 mph in a 25 mph zone.

12:59 a.m.: A man and a woman were arrested at City Park, 802 E. Main St. The man was arrested on two warrants and on suspicion of an open container violation, interfering with an officer and possession of alcohol in the park; the woman was arrested on suspicion of a protection order violation. Another man was issued a summons on suspicion of an open container violation and possession of alcohol in the park.

2:38 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 400 block of West Seventh Street on suspicion of a protection order violation after his wife reported he was suicidal and had been cutting himself. The man had a knife nearby when he was contacted, but police found no evidence he had been cutting himself. He was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital before being transported to the jail.

10:43 a.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault in the 600 block of East Montezuma Avenue after another man reported he had punched him several times in the face, causing severe bruising.

11:41 a.m.: A man was arrested at Montezuma County Court, 601 N. Mildred Road, on a warrant for failure to comply.

1:41 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 800 block of East Montezuma Avenue on two warrants for failure to appear.

2:15 p.m.: A man was arrested at Cozy Inn, 440 S. Broadway, on a warrant for failure to appear.

6:50 p.m.: A man was arrested in Centennial Park, 800 E. Montezuma Ave., on two warrants for failure to appear. Responding officers reported he was “combative” with jail staff after his arrest, leading them to carry him to his cell.

8:19 p.m.: A man was arrested at Ute Coffee Shop, 17 S. Broadway, on suspicion of violating a protection order and bail bond conditions after a woman reported he had taken her electronic benefit transfer card.

8:46 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 400 block of South Cedar Street on suspicion of a felony violation of bond conditions after police responded to a report of a disturbance between him and another man.

10:03 p.m.: A man was arrested in City Park, 802 E. Main St., on a warrant for failure to appear and on suspicion of an open container violation.

Friday, April 14

1:38 p.m.: A man was arrested at Wal-Mart, 1835 E. Main St., on a warrant for failure to appear.
