With the help of a trumpet fanfare, Veryl Goodnight unveiled her largest painting ever, titled “The Morning Jingle,” at her gallery on Saturday. The 32-by-60-inch painting depicts horses coming back to the ranch from the pasture. She also unveiled a new bronze sculpture, “The Bachelor Band,” which depicts three bachelor horses. Goodnight revealed the works at a formal grand opening of her new gallery at 106 Grand Ave. in Mancos.

Dancers enjoyed entertainment from Mancos funk band The Afrobeatniks on Saturday for the official grand reopening of Mancos Brewing Co., 484 E. Frontage Road.
New Mexico sculptor Eddy Shorty poses on Saturday, June 3, with his clay sculpture that will be cast in bronze. The sculpture is located at Kilgore American Indian Art in Mancos.
