The threatening post also appeared on the Facebook San Juan County Community and Crime Watch page, when Margaret Briann posted, “be careful FHS students, this post has been up 15+ hours, please do not send your kids to school tomorrow.”

She referred to this post: “Farmington high school. Don’t come to school on Tuesday. Gotta surprise for all the teachers.”

“His username was ‘505.c.jay’, and he posted a picture of what appeared to be .22-caliber ammunition,” according to an email from Farmington Police Department spokeswoman Shanice Gonzales.

Schools planned to increase law enforcement presence in and around the schools Jan. 17.

The original post on Farmington Police Facebook page, on Monday, Jan. 16, stated that there was a threat to Farmington High School circulating on social media. They began investigating after learning of a threat circulating on an Instagram group chat.
