Navalny’s ‘life had grand purpose’

Oh, Alexei, today, I am with you on your journey of liberation. Your great spirit, your brave soul has been a lesson and a teaching for all of us. I grieve the loss of your ideal of this life.

You’ve given all of us an example, an image of the ideal of bravery and commitment. I’m so sorry for your suffering. I commit my heart to your vision of justice. I join my energy with yours in the ultimate fulfillment of this ideal you have embodied. My tears of grief are mixed with those of relief.

I rejoice that your suffering is over. I send my heart to your family and to all the people there in your Russian womb.

I have great gratitude to my grandfather Joseph, who left that country, who walked out so he wouldn’t be drafted Into the czar’s army. I grieve for all the suffering of people still there in Russia, dominated by that mentality of rulers who have no thought for the rights of the common people.

Your life has been such a teaching of commitment and passion and vision. I am so sorry that this vision was not fulfilled in your lifetime. You will not be forgotten, you will not be taken for granted. Your life has had grand purpose. You are seen around the world, and we all gather strength and courage from your martyrdom.

Thank you for your great being.
