I hope and pray for the safety of our troops fighting against Iran on our behalf. I have no sympathy for the Iranian regime – but this war is unwarranted. It is contrary to everything our president stood for before his election: his pledges to focus on America First and to be a president of peace.
I have no issue with stopping the flow of illegal immigrants and drugs when done legally and humanely. I was even proud when our special forces removed narco-dictator Maduro from Venezuela and brought him to justice. But from that to attacking a sovereign country, unprovoked, is beyond my comprehension.
As many commentators have noted, Iran is not Iraq or Afghanistan. It is a much larger and more powerful country. As with previous conflicts, unjust wars only breed more hatred and more terrorists. This war will turn the Gulf States – the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia – and beyond against us. Even our NATO allies question its legitimacy and wisdom. Once again, we were drawn into conflict by Netanyahu and his allies in Israel and Washington.
Meanwhile, prices at home are rising and retirement savings are dwindling. When are we going to learn our lesson?
Mr. President, stop this war. God bless America. May common sense and peace prevail.
