Volunteers with the Montezuma County Chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, part of Everytown for Gun Safety, is partnering with St. Barnabas Episcopal Church to hold a candlelight vigil honoring the victims of the Sandy Hook School shooting, which killed 20 children and six educators in Newton, Connecticut, on Dec. 14, 2012.

All are invited to attend.

The event is one of more than 200 planned across the U.S. asking lawmakers to do more to #EndGunViolence.

In the six years since Sandy Hook, Moms Demand Action volunteers, survivors of gun violence and other have fought to change America’s gun laws.

The rally is at Cortez Cultural Center Plaza, 25 N. Market St. on Dec. 14 from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m.
