In an email to parents on Thursday, principal’s secretary Debra Ramsey informed parents about sports-related advertising calls circulating in the community.

“We had a local business call and say that they were approached by phone and fax to give money to Sports Media,” Ramsey wrote. “M-CHS is in no way affiliated with Sports Media.”

Ramsey asked local businesses not to purchase any advertising from the company.

According to Ramsey, Montezuma-Cortez High School will always use “branded artwork” on flyers, and the flyers usually will be hand-delivered by an M-CHS athlete.
