Local jazz musician Newnam takes stage at Sunflower

Popular local jazz musician Bob Newnam will perform Saturday at the Sunflower Theatre with his jazz quartet consisting of Jack Maynes on keyboards, Evan Suiter on bass, and Mike Morris on drums and percussion. They will perform two sets starting at 7 p.m. with a blend of swing, Latin and ballads.

“This is the an opportunity for us to perform our music at the fine new Sunflower Theatre located adjacent to KSJD Public Radio at Main and Market streets in Cortez,” Newnam said.

Seating is limited. Doors and cash bar open at 6:15. Tickets are $20 available online and remaining tickets on sale at the door. The Sunflower Theatre is located at Main and Market Street in Cortez, next to KSJD Community Radio.

The Sunflower Theatre and KSJD Community Radio Project are distinct programs of Community Radio Project, a 501-c (3) organization based in Cortez.

Both the Sunflower and KSJD are located in the historic Montezuma Valley National Bank Building in Cortez.
