SER Jobs for Progress, a federally funded job-training program for economically challenged seniors, is currently accepting applications for enrollment in La Plata County.

The program is for unemployed seniors 55 and older who are unable to find for because of a lack of experience or job skills. Accepted applicants will receive income while acquiring job training, and be placed in part-time work experience assignments to enhance employment opportunities.

SER is also seeking local nonprofit organizations and businesses interested in participating in the program in exchange for free help.
