Hospice of Montezuma recently announced that one of its longtime team members has completed her associate degree in nursing and officially stepped into a registered nurse position at the clinic.
Cait Fish has worked at Hospice of Montezuma for three years and received her associate degree in May. Before starting her career in nursing, Fish worked full time in farming and ranching, specifically caring for cattle and sheep while working through and completing her prerequisite courses.
Her interest in nursing and healthcare grew after her father received care from Hospice of Montezuma in 2023. This experience confirmed that she was on the right path and that she wished to also serve others through this field, Hospice of Montezuma said.
The clinic said Fish brings compassion and dedication to patients in the community while also being a mother to a young son and balancing family responsibilities, working and studying.
Hospice of Montezuma officials described her as an “exceptional nurse.”
