County Road 5500 in Lee Acres will closed to traffic from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday. This closure is the first major closure during the bridge replacement project.

Crews will receive and place six concrete girders that will hold up the new bridge.

Drivers who use the bridge regularly should plan an alternate route these day, as no traffic will be allowed to cross the bridge.
