At Round 12 of the 2026 Supercross season in St. Louis, Eli Tomac and Hunter Lawrence’s race finishes tied them for the overall points lead, with Ken Roczen’s win in the main event moving him within striking distance of the leaders.
The main event, the culmination of a “critical round” on a “brutal” track started with Jorge Prado in the hole shot, but his lead didn’t last long, as Roczen passed both Lawrence and Prado in one fell swoop after racing around the first corner. Tomac raced in sixth and moved to fifth before being passed by Cooper Webb.
Hunter raced from fourth to third, passing Prado before the race's end to land on the podium. Justin Cooper placed second.
“Comeback Kenny” won his first back-to-back win in five years, putting him only five points behind Tomac and Lawrence, who came out of the race tied
“It was a tougher day for us at St. Louis, but the good thing is that we didn't lose too many points and we are still tied for the lead,” Tomac told Team KTM following the race. “I'm looking forward to the last five races, and doing what we can to get back up on top.”
Heat 1 started with Cooper taking the hole shot, with Shane McElrath and Webb in second and third. Webb moved to second as Joey Savatgy passed McElrath. Chase Sexton, who crashed around the first corner, recovered quickly, moving through the pack to place third. Cooper placed first and Webb second.
In the second heat, commentators commented on Tomac’s self-proclaimed mid-season slump, saying that the past two weeks have been “a challenge” for the Cortez rider. Lawrence raced into the hole shot, and Justin Hill and Roczen followed closely behind. Tomac raced in sixth.
Roczen sped into second before cruising past Lawrence for the lead. Roczen placed first, with Lawrence placing second, Malcolm Stewart third, Jorge Prado fourth and Tomac fifth.
