Marian and Peter Rohman will present a slideshow tour of “Iceland in All of Its Magnificent Splendor,” as part of the Cortez Public Library’s Literary Fridays program on May 18 at 10 a.m.

Marian and Peter, who met in 1974 while backpacking in Vermont, toured Iceland in June 2017. They will present photos of waterfalls, birds, landscapes and blue skies.

Marian retired after surveying rares plants, mostly in Utah and New Mexico. She also worked as assistant curator of the herbarium at the University of Massachusetts, curating a collection of dried plant specimens used for research and doing field work in archaeology in the Four Corners.

“This is guaranteed to be a slideshow, the likes of which you have never seen before,” Kathy Berg, programmer at the library, said in a news release.

The Cortez Public Library is at 202 N. Park St. For more information, call 970-565-8117.
