The Cortez Rotary Club’s annual Easter egg hunt is scheduled for Saturday, March 31, on the west side of City Park, off Park Street, between Montezuma Avenue and Main Street.

Areas will be marked off for youngsters ages 0-3, 4-6 and 7-10, according to a news release from Karen Sheek. Children may assemble at 9:45 a.m. in preparation for the signal for the hunt, which begins promptly at 10 a.m.

“Don’t arrive late because once the signal is given, it doesn’t take long to scoop up the brightly colored eggs,” Sheek said.

This year, the brightly colored eggs will be filled with candy or coins.

Parents will have the opportunity to enroll children ages birth to 5 years old in the Imagination Library program. Children enrolled in the program will receive a free book in the mail each month courtesy of the Rotary Club.

Families also will have opportunities to take photos as the children scramble to find their prize-filled eggs.
