Mayor Sheek’s recent piece in The Journal (Aug. 25) assures us that Connect4 is moving forward. Technical information that’s been presented on the website mentions Google’s fiber-to-the-home project as an example.

Google recently cut their project staffing in half due to failed expectations. They’re not responding to inquiries at this point.

So, Montezuma County is going to succeed where the big dogs have failed? Sure.... After all, it’s only tax money.
