The city of Cortez will hold its annual late-summer cleanup week on Monday through Friday, Sept. 16-30.

Residents of Cortez may leave items to be picked up the day of their regularly scheduled trash pickup.

Participants are asked to bag, box and tie up all loose items and cut branches into 4-foot lengths and bundle them together.

Mattresses will be picked up for $17 each. No electronics, tires or hazardous materials – including anything that contains refrigerants – will be picked up.
