Theater Ensemble Arts will present “August: Osage County” by Tracy Letts at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 21, at Totah Theater, 315 W. Main St.
When the Weston family is unexpectedly reunited when the family’s patriarch disappears, their Oklahoman family homestead devolves into a storm of secrets and buried pain.
The play, which won the 2008 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, is classified as a tragicomedy and is only for mature audiences.
Additional performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. April 22, 28 and 29 at Totah Theater, with a matinee performance at 2:30 p.m. April 30.

After being postponed due to poor weather conditions last month, Kinsey’s Spring Classic will take place at 9 a.m., Saturday, April 22, at Lion’s Wilderness Park.
The Kids Race for cyclists 9 years old and younger will begin at 9 a.m., and will be followed by the 30-mile cross-country race at 11 a.m. Male and female pro purses will be $500, $250 and $100. The race is presented by Sandstone Cycles and other community sponsors.

San Juan Symphony will present Poetry in Motion from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, April 23, at Henderson Fine Arts Center Performance Hall, 4601 College Blvd.
San Juan Symphony Youth Orchestra will perform side-by-side with San Juan Symphony for the first time, providing young musicians with an opportunity for mentorship and partnership with adult symphony members.
Music director Thomas Heuser will lead the double orchestra in a challenging repertoire. This final performance of the season will include the Fourth Symphony of Johannes Brahms.

Now open at it’s new location, Feat of Clay gallery will host a student poetry and open mic night from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 28, at the gallery, 222 N. Main Ave., Aztec.
Students from San Juan College will present poetry, essays and short stories.

AE Properties will host the Chokecherry Canyon spring cleanup from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 22, throughout Chokecherry Canyon and Glade Recreational Area.
Community members are invited to meet 2.7 miles from Pinon Hills Boulevard on Glade Road. Volunteers will spend the morning removing trash before breaking for lunch, which will be provided by AE Properties.
As an extra incentive to help with the cleanup, loads of trash collected will earn participants raffle tickets. The drawing for prizes will take place at 4 p.m. Raffle prizes are offered by a variety of area businesses.
