Mancos eighth grader Lane Greenlee recently earned the state championship in the saddle bronc steer riding and chute dogging events at the Arizona Junior High Finals State Rodeo.
Lane will now compete in the National Junior High Finals Rodeo from June 23 to June 29 in Huron, South Dakota. The National Junior High Finals rodeo brings in about 1,000 contestants from 44 states, Canada, Australia and Mexico.
