Dolores Mountain Quilters will present its annual Quilt Show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 21 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 22 at the Dolores Community Center, 400 Riverside Ave. in Dolores.

The quilt show will feature more than 100 quilts, along with fabric vendors, craft and boutique items, quilts for sale and more. Admission is $5, and children ages 12 and under can attend for free.

“We are looking forward to putting on another terrific show this year, and the public can count on seeing some dazzling quilts demonstrating the fabulous quilting talent in our area,” show organizer Laura Bauer said.

A queen-size raffle quilt titled “Desert Star” will be available for raffle. Raffle tickets are $2 each or three for $5 and can be purchased in advance at Cortez Quilt Co. and Escalante Days.

The Dolores Mountain Quilters Guild meets monthly to create quilts and provide quilting education. Many of the quilts they make are donated to veterans and people in need given to local nonprofits for fundraising and more.

The guild’s meetings are held at 10 a.m. on the first Tuesday of each month at the Dolores Community Center, 400 Riverside Ave. Visitors are welcome to attend.
