Saturday, Feb. 14

6:05 p.m.: A deputy responded to a residence on Road P, Dolores, for a report of a vehicle break-in. Someone broke into a Dodge Charger and stole a key fob for a white BMW 328, estimated at $300. A man’s driver’s license was found in the vehicle, and the vehicle owner said he did not know the man. No cameras were present, and nothing else was missing or damaged.

Thursday, Feb. 19

7:49 p.m.: A deputy responded to Dolores High School, 1301 Central Ave., for vandalism. A juvenile's truck had a white substance, believed to be sour cream, thrown on the driver's side door during a basketball game. Minimal damage occurred, and the juvenile and his mother suspected a juvenile ex-girlfriend. School camera footage was to be reviewed.

Monday, Feb. 23

11:27 a.m.: A deputy made phone contact regarding harassment via social media at a business. A woman reported ongoing messages from a prior volunteer, but the content did not meet the legal definition of harassment under Colorado law. The case was deemed unfounded.

Tuesday, Feb. 24

6:51 p.m.: A deputy responded to 28260 U.S. Highway 160, Cortez, for a violation of a protection order. A woman reported that the restrained party was at the split-residence property despite orders to stay away from the residence and 100 yards from the protected party. The woman was arrested on suspicion of violation of a protection order.

Wednesday, Feb. 25

12:06 p.m.: A deputy responded to a residence on Road 38, Mancos, for a theft report. Items including an Xbox, drone, cameras and other goods (total estimated $1,860) were reported missing over months. The victim allegedly confronted a woman who admitted taking some items (later partially returned) but denied others. No forced entry was noted, and the victim did not wish to pursue charges.

Saturday, Feb. 28

3:19 a.m.: A deputy responded to the 14000 block of Road 25, Dolores, for a vehicle crash. A woman left the roadway, struck trees and a barn on private property at a residence on Road 25, causing severe vehicle damage. She reported possibly falling asleep. No intoxication signs were observed, and Colorado State Patrol took over.

Tuesday, March 3

3:01 p.m.: A deputy responded to the Montezuma County Combined Court House, 865 N. Park St., for warrant service. A woman was arrested on multiple warrants.

Thursday, March 5

12:41 a.m.: A deputy responded to Elegant Hill Trailer Park, 28330 Road K. 2, Cortez, for a reported domestic violence incident. Witnesses reported hearing a slap and seeing a woman on the ground crying, but the woman denied any assault, showed only old injuries and attributed crying to anxiety. No arrest was made due to lack of evidence and inconsistencies.

8:53 a.m.: A deputy responded to the Montezuma County Courts, 865 N. Park St., for warrant service. A man was arrested.

5:12 p.m.: A deputy assisted Colorado State Patrol at 1 E. Mike Wash Rd., Towaoc, with a vehicle crash involving an allegedly intoxicated non-Native driver. The deputy provided cover and assisted CSP. The man was arrested.

6:01 p.m.: A deputy responded to Road 31 and CO Highway 184, Dolores, for a two-vehicle traffic accident. No injuries were reported, and the Colorado State Patrol handled related aspects.

Friday, March 6

5:52 a.m.: A deputy responded to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St. for a woman turning herself in on multiple warrants.

8:16 a.m.: A deputy responded to the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., for warrant service. A man was arrested.

3:23 p.m.: A deputy responded to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 Driscoll St., for warrant service. A woman was arrested.

Saturday, March 7

3:28 p.m.: A deputy responded to Love’s Truck Stop, 7006 U.S. Highway 160, Cortez, for a vehicle accident. One semitruck backed into a parked semitrailer, causing an estimated $5,000 in damage to the reefer unit and bracket. No injuries were reported.

Sunday, March 8

8:26 a.m.: A deputy assisted Colorado State Patrol at 37521 Colorado Highway 184, Mancos, with a traffic accident. A vehicle rolled after the driver reportedly fell asleep. The driver was medically cleared and arrested on a still-active warrant from 1995.

7:57 p.m.: A deputy responded to Road E and U.S. Highways 160-491, Cortez, for a welfare check. A man lying on the highway was given a courtesy ride to Love’s after his brass knuckles were seized.

Monday, March 9

1:07 a.m.: A deputy responded to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., to serve a warrant on a man in custody.

1 p.m.: A deputy made phone contact regarding a theft at a residence on Road R, Dolores. A power washer (valued around $300) was reported missing after the owner was away. No suspects or cameras were identified, and local pawn shops were notified.
