6:14 p.m.: A deputy responded to a residence on Road 33, Mancos, regarding a possibly stolen trailer on the property. Investigation revealed the white pop-up trailer was reported stolen years earlier out of Albuquerque, but had been left there long-term by acquaintances. It was towed pending return to the insurance company.
9:50 p.m.: A deputy initiated a traffic stop in the 7000 block of U.S. Highway 160, Cortez, for a vehicle weaving across lanes. The driver was cited for driving without a valid license and no insurance. The passenger was arrested on suspicion of a warrant. Drug paraphernalia was located on the passenger’s person and in the vehicle.
4:40 p.m.: A deputy met with a woman at the sheriff's office, 730 East Driscoll St., who reported domestic violence concerns involving her daughter and the daughter's husband, including prior knife and death threats. The case was referred to Cortez Police Department.
6:46 p.m.: A deputy responded to the 7000 block of U.S. Highway 160 for a traffic accident where Colorado State Patrol was already investigating. A woman on scene was issued a citation for DUI.
2:56 p.m.: A deputy responded to U.S. Highway 491, Pleasant View, for a reported vehicle break-in. A man reported his vehicle’s passenger window broken and items stolen after leaving the vehicle locked overnight after the vehicle had broken down. No suspects identified.
7:44 p.m.: A deputy assisted Mancos Marshal's Office at 29000 U.S. Highway 160, Mancos, with a domestic violence investigation. A man was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order.
8:50 p.m.: A deputy responded to a residence on Road S.6, Dolores, for menacing with a firearm. A man allegedly pointed a loaded handgun at his father, made threats including claims of having killed someone. The suspect was not located.
11:11 p.m.: Two deputies responded to the 6000 block of Road 25, Cortez, for a suspicious person. The man requested a ride to the hospital. The hospital later called, saying the man was causing issues. The man reported his vehicle was stolen, but would not say where the vehicle went missing from. The vehicle was later confirmed to be lent to another man.
8:03 a.m.: A deputy assisted at Skyline Gas Station, 27963 Colorado Highway 184, Dolores, with a car-vs.-deer crash on Colorado 145. The driver reported heavy front-end damage, and Colorado State Patrol took over the investigation.
3:01 p.m.: A deputy took a phone report of a hit-and-run at Ute Mountain Casino, 3 Weeminuche Drive., Towaoc. A man reported damage to his vehicle discovered the next day after parking next to another vehicle. No suspects identified.
3:46 p.m.: A deputy took a phone report of lost property at 12543 Road G, Cortez (San Canyon National Park area). A woman reported losing her wallet containing credit cards and driver's license during a hike about a week earlier.
11:14 a.m.: A deputy responded to Montezuma County Combined Court House, 865 N. Park St., for a court-ordered remand. A man was arrested.
11:47 a.m.: A deputy responded to Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., for a remand to custody. A woman was arrested.
11:52 a.m.: A deputy responded to a residence on Road 29, Dolores, for a possible protection order violation. A man was allegedly yelling threats over a fence at a protected party. He was arrested on suspicion of violation of a protection order.
11:16 a.m.: A deputy responded to Love’s Gas Station, 7006 U.S. Highway 160, Cortez, for a banned man causing a disturbance and allegedly stealing alcohol. The man was arrested on suspicion of theft, burglary, criminal trespass and resisting arrest.
5:55 p.m.: A deputy responded to a residence on Road P, Dolores, for an assault. A man reported being struck in the face twice by another man while escorting him off the property; witnesses corroborated. An arrest warrant was requested for third-degree assault.
6:41 p.m.: A deputy responded to Colorado Highway 145 at mile marker 25, Dolores area, for a vehicle slide-off into a ditch. The driver was assisted to Dolores.
8:38 p.m.: A deputy assisted at 26000 block of U.S. Highway 491, Pleasant View, with a hit-and-run on a parked vehicle. Colorado State Patrol took over.
9:13 p.m.: A deputy checked on a slide-off at U.S. Highway 491 and Road BB, Pleasant View. The driver reported no injuries, and Colorado State Patrol handled the crash.
7:49 a.m.: A deputy responded to Colorado Highways 145/184 intersection, Dolores area, for a three-vehicle crash. One driver reported chest pain. Traffic was controlled until Colorado State Patrol took over.
8:43 a.m.: A deputy responded to 34900 U.S. Highway 160, Mancos, for a rollover crash. The driver and ejected passenger were transported for injuries, and a firearm was secured. Colorado State Patrol took over.
10:27 a.m.: A deputy responded to Montezuma County Combined Court, 865 N. Park St., for a court remand. A woman was arrested.
12:50 a.m.: A deputy responded to Love's Truck Stop, 7006 U.S. Highway 160, Cortez, for a disturbance. A man with a warrant was arrested and banned from the property.
4:46 a.m.: A deputy responded to a residence on Road J.9 Loop, Mancos, for a structure fire involving a pellet stove. No suspicious circumstances noted.
11:58 a.m.: A deputy responded to a residence on Road 27, Cortez, for a possible restraining order violation. A man allegedly called a protected party's workplace. The case was forwarded to the DA.
