As I drive through Montezuma County, I am amazed at the number of “Trump” and “MAGA” signs I still see. I think to myself, Do these people only listen to Fox News or no news at all?
Let’s focus on what “MAGA” really means for the American people. It means that Americans will pay more for health coverage. It means underprivileged children will not receive free school lunches. It means 23 million Americans will lose their SNAP benefits. It means farmers are losing their farms because they can’t afford to feed their cattle. It means that Trump is trying to privatize Social Security, which could end up making billionaires richer and most of us poorer.
Trump said he was going to bring industries back to the USA. Did you know that the Trump Bible is printed in China at a cost of $3 and he sells them for $59? How would you like to make a 1,866% return on your investments? Now, the president is not supposed to profit from his or her position, and yet the Trump Organization has profited over $3 billion in the past 10 months because of relationships he has with foreign companies.
What Trump really wanted for a slogan was “MABR,” which means Make All Billionaires Richer.
