7:41 a.m.: An officer responded to Mesa Elementary, 703 W. Seventh St., for a woman sparking a stun gun at another on the school sidewalk. The woman was issued a summons for harassment.
1:32 p.m.: An officer responded to Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St., for a man smoking in the bathroom. The man was arrested on a warrant and on suspicion of violating a protection order after alcohol was found on his person.
8:33 p.m.: An officer responded to Sleeping Ute Apartments, 516 S. Madison St., and a man was arrested on suspicion of violation of bond conditions and trespassing.
11:08 p.m.: An officer on patrol near Front Row Seat, 610 E. Main St. arrested a man with warrants. A BRAC of 0.318 required medical clearance before booking at the Montezuma County Detention Center.
5:03 a.m.: An officer responded to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., where a man turned himself in on three warrants.
3:34 p.m.: An officer contacted a man at East Main Street and North Park Street with a warrant. He was found in possession of alcohol, and was arrested on the warrant and on suspicion of violation of a protection order.
6:18 p.m.: An officer responded to Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St., for a fight. A man resisted when contacted by police, and he was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest/interfering with an officer and disturbing the peace.
9:39 p.m.: An officer stopped a man driving erratically at Safeway, 1580 E. Main St. The man was found to not to be under the influence of alcohol, but was arrested on a warrant.
11:53 p.m.: Officers responded to Blondies Trophy Room, 45 E. Main St., for a man displaying a firearm. The man was found to be in possession of a firearm, which he lifted his shirt to display on his waistband, and knives. He was issued a summons for prohibited weapon use while intoxicated and banned from the location.
12:40 a.m.: An officer arrested a man on North Market Street on a warrant.
1:28 a.m.: An officer responded to Speedway, 2021 E. Main St., for a man attempting to fight others. He was arrested on a warrant.
3:29 p.m.: An officer contacted a man with a warrant at East Montezuma Avenue and North Park Street and arrested him.
3:35 p.m.: An officer responded to Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., for a woman’s attempted theft of $1,635.14 in merchandise. The woman fled before police arrived, but she left the merchandise behind at the store.
1:21 a.m.: Officers stopped a vehicle on North Broadway for no rear license plate. The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving a vehicle when license revoked, failure to provide proof of insurance, resisting arrest, obstruction of a peace officer and failure to display a license plate. The passenger was arrested on a warrant and found to have suspected methamphetamine on her person.
9:12 a.m.: An officer observed two men banned from city parks at the City Pool, 803 E. Montezuma Ave. Both were arrested on suspicion of trespassing.
10:43 a.m.: An officer contacted a man at National 9 Inn, 301 W. Main St., with three warrants and arrested him.
11:09 a.m.: An officer observed a man with a warrant at Blondies Trophy Room, 45 E. Main St., and arrested him.
2:04 p.m.: An officer responded to Cortez Recreation Center, 425 N. Roger Smith Ave., and arrested a woman on suspicion of violating a protection order.
8:56 a.m.: An officer responded to Safeway, 1580 E. Main St., after a report of shoplifting. One woman was issued a summons for theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. Another woman was arrested on suspicion of theft and suspected possession of fentanyl, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
5:14 p.m.: An officer observed a woman banned from city parks at Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St., with alcohol. She was arrested on suspicion of trespassing and possession of alcohol in the park.
10:03 p.m.: An officer responded to Memorial Drive for a vehicle crash. The driver, who had crashed into a parked vehicle, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and careless driving. He was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital before being transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center.
11:56 p.m.: An officer contacted a man at the intersection of Washington in Main, and arrested the man on a warrant.
1:11 a.m.: An officer responded to National 9 Inn, 301 W. Main St., for a woman allegedly violating a protection order. The woman was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order by being in contact with boyfriend and consuming alcohol.
10:20 a.m.: An officer investigated a protection order violation at Happy Valley Trailer Park, 203 E. Seventh St. A man who allegedly made threats of arson and harassed a woman who is protected from him had left the location by the time police arrived.
4:17 p.m.: An officer contacted a woman at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., regarding three warrants. She was arrested.
5:24 p.m.: An officer responded to a residence on Montelores Avenue for a report of two dogs attacking another dog. The owner was issued a summons for keeping vicious dogs. The man expressed his plan to euthanize the dogs for their vicious behavior.
