12:44 p.m.: An officer responded to the 21100 block of Road G in Montezuma County regarding a stolen firearm. A woman reported her Sig Sauer P365 was missing from her pickup after her sister borrowed the vehicle without permission. The firearm was entered into NCIC/CCIC as stolen. No suspects were identified.

Tuesday, July 23

8:10 a.m.: A vehicle break-in was reported in the 22500 block of Road D. 6 in Cortez. A man reported several high-value items stolen from his Ram pickup, including binoculars, a modular pack, credit cards and cash. No suspects or surveillance footage were available.2

Wednesday, July 24

4:19 p.m.: A woman in the 18400 block of U.S. Highway 145 in Dolores reported suspicious activity. She awoke to an unknown person inside her home. No items were reported missing, and the suspect left through an unlocked sliding door.

4 a.m.: An officer assisted Colorado State Patrol at Southwest Memorial Hospital regarding a vehicle crash. The driver admitted to drinking one beer earlier in the evening. No DUI charges were filed. Inc

6:51 p.m.: Officers responded to a domestic violence call in the 8300 block of Road 46 in Mancos. A man and woman were both arrested on suspicion of assault and domestic violence after a physical altercation involving a broom handle and self-inflicted injuries.

Monday, July 28

7:39 p.m.: A woman reported her father missing after he failed to return from a motorcycle ride on the Priest Gulch Trail near the 27600 block of U.S. Highway 145. Search and Rescue located him with a broken ankle and transported him to the hospital.

Tuesday, July 29

3:15 p.m.: An attempted break-in was reported at a residence in the 800 block of Hillside Ave in Dolores. Damage to a window and door was estimated at $1,000. No suspects or surveillance footage were available.

Wednesday, July 30

10:45 a.m.: A man was served a summons at the Montezuma County Detention Center for violating a protection order after recorded phone calls with the protected party.

10:53 a.m.: Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 11900 block of Road 39.2 in Mancos. A man was arrested on suspicion of harassment and domestic violence after video footage showed him pushing his wife.

8:33 p.m.: A woman was served four active warrants at the Montezuma County Detention Center, including harassment and protection order violations.

10:28 a.m.: A man was served a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center in Cortez.

9:24 a.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order in the 22000 block of Road L in Cortez. The violation involved contact with a protected party at a shared residence.

12:04 p.m.: A female juvenile was arrested at the Montezuma County Courthouse on N. Park St. in Cortez for a bond revocation.

1:11 p.m.: A woman in custody at the Montezuma County Detention Center was served an out-of-county warrant for driving while ability impaired.

1:57 p.m.: A man was taken into custody at the Montezuma County Combined Courts on N. Park St. in Cortez for failure to appear.

8:39 p.m.: A motorcycle crash occurred in the 6900 block of Road G in Cortez. The rider sustained injuries and started a small brush fire. Colorado State Patrol took over the investigation.

10:35 p.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of violating a restraining order at a residence in the 400 block of W. Seventh St., Cortez. Incident

Friday, Aug. 1

1:04 p.m.: A driver was cited in Dolores near Railroad Ave and 14th St. for failing to yield to pedestrians in a crosswalk.

1:59 p.m.: A woman reported a lost license plate after visiting Phil’s World and City Market. The plate was entered into CCIC.

Saturday, Aug. 2

10:39 a.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order by texting and contacting his wife through a coworker. The incident occurred in the 11900 block of Rd 39.2 in Mancos.

11:54 a.m.: A business break-in was reported at 18300 block of U.S. Highway 145 in Dolores. The suspect was identified but cleared after video evidence showed no theft occurred.

9:42 p.m.: A stolen trailer from Ridgeway was recovered in the 20100 block of Road 29.2 in Dolores. The trailer matched the description and was impounded.

Monday, Aug. 4

6 p.m.: A man was cited for conducting a control burn during a fire ban in the 16900 block of U.S. Highway 491 in Cortez. Inc

2 p.m.: A man turned himself in at the Montezuma County Detention Center in Cortez on a warrant for failure to appear.

Wednesday, Aug. 6

5 a.m.: A man was cited in the 29000 block of U.S. Highway 160 in Cortez for driving without insurance and with a broken headlight.
