10:20 a.m.: A deputy responded to a break-in at 27930 Road T, Dolores. A man reported that doors at a sawmill had been opened and items disturbed. Fire extinguishers were moved, one discharged, and graffiti was found. Damage included a kicked-in door, discharged extinguisher, and spray-painted equipment. The man planned to provide video footage and a damage list.

7:19 a.m.: A deputy made a phone call to a man at 9045 Road 27, Cortez, who reported a package theft on May 25 around 1 a.m. The stolen item was a $250 socket set. The man said he had video footage.

Friday, June 20

2 p.m.: A deputy responded to 12736 Road 40, Mancos, where a woman reported a calf had been shot. The calf was valued at $4,500. The incident may be related to an ongoing dispute with a neighbor. No bullet was recovered.

Sunday, July 13

10:14 a.m.: A deputy responded to a traffic accident at Road 22 and Road S, Cortez. A gray truck ran a stop sign and hit a black pickup. Witnesses described the driver of the gray truck as acting strangely. The driver lacked a valid license and declined sobriety tests. State Patrol took over.

10:18 a.m.: A deputy responded to Southwest Memorial Hospital regarding a plane crash. A man and woman reported their aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff near 45500 Road J.4, Mancos. Both sustained minor injuries. The aircraft had struck the ground during a turn.

3:59 p.m.: A deputy made a phone call regarding a missing firearm from 29148 Road J.6, Cortez. A man suspected a woman who had moved out weeks earlier. She denied involvement. The case remains open.

6:41 p.m.: A deputy responded to a cold break-in at 31065 Highway 184, Dolores. A woman found locks broken and items missing or damaged. The incident may be related to an eviction. A neighbor reported others entering the property.

8:39 p.m.: A deputy stopped a speeding vehicle at 16032 U.S. Highway 491, Cortez. The man failed sobriety tests and was arrested for DUI. A search revealed multiple firearms and alcohol. He was booked into jail.

10:03 p.m.: A deputy responded to Southwest Memorial Hospital for an assault reported at the 26000 block of Road X, Dolores. A man said he was attacked by someone he met online. He sustained multiple injuries and was threatened. The suspect remains unidentified.

Monday, July 14

2:48 p.m.: A deputy served a warrant at 730 E. Driscoll St., Cortez. A woman was taken into custody without incident.

Tuesday, July 15

11:40 a.m.: A deputy served a warrant at 730 E. Driscoll St., Cortez. A man was booked into jail for failure to comply.

2:40 p.m.: A deputy served a warrant at 865 N. Park St., Cortez. A juvenile was taken into custody for failure to appear.

Wednesday, July 16

10:13 a.m.: A deputy on patrol in Dolores contacted a man with a horse near 400 S. Fourth St. The man had a felony warrant and was arrested. The horse was impounded.

10:16 p.m.: A deputy assisted Mancos Marshal at 232 N. Oak St, Mancos. A man was arrested for violating a protection order by consuming alcohol. He was medically cleared and booked.

8:03 p.m.: A deputy responded to a reckless driving report at 28431 Colorado Highway 145, Dolores. A man was arrested for DUI after being found with open alcohol containers and exhibiting hostile behavior.

Friday, July 18

9:46 a.m.: A deputy served a writ of restitution at 1616 Velma St., Cortez. Two men were served and the residence cleared.

10:38 a.m.: A man turned himself in at 730 E. Driscoll St., Cortez. He was booked on a warrant for failure to appear.

1:29 p.m.: A deputy responded to Road 22 and Road L, Cortez, where a woman reported being kidnapped and assaulted by a man in violation of a protection order. A warrant was issued.

2:28 p.m.: A deputy responded to 6200 Road 21, Cortez, where a man found a Social Security card in his yard. It was booked into evidence.
