A warrant is still active for Delsin Gage Freeman, 18, who is described by police as an American Indian/Alaskan male who is 6 feet tall and 160 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

There is no photo of Freeman at this time.

On Friday, Sept. 15, an altercation between two groups took a turn for the worse when shots were fired. A bystander, 18-year-old Josilyn Mark, was struck by a shot and airlifted out of Cortez with a severe leg injury.

At a public meeting after the shooting, police said tension increased between the two groups, which also were suspected of graffiti and gunfire in the weeks leading up to the shooting on West Empire and North Market streets.

The night of the shooting, police arrested Killsinsight and have been working to identify and arrest other suspects in the case.

Mark is recuperating at home, but travels to Grand Junction every two weeks for appointments to monitor her condition, said her grandmother, Eva Martinez.
