Funeral services for lifelong Towaoc resident Wayne Cuthair will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8 at Four Corners Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Nelson Ranch Cemetery in Hesperus, Colo.

Visitation has been scheduled for Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Four Corners Funeral Chapel.

Wayne was born April 21, 1957 in Cortez the son of Ira and Celia (Coyote) Cuthair. He passed away Friday, April 4, 2014 at Vista Grande Inn at the age of 56.

Wayne was a member of the Sundance Religion. He worked for Weeminuche Construction and A-1 Security Company in Ignacio, Colo. Wayne loved beadwork, attending Pow Wows, and the Bear Dance. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Wayne was a gambler and enjoyed playing the slot machines.

Surviving Wayne are his children, Sharlene Cuthair of Towaoc, Toby Cuthair of Towaoc, Devonna Cuthair of Towaoc, and Bryce Cuthair of Denver, Colo.; two grandchildren; father, Ira Cuthair of Towaoc; siblings, Chester Cuthair and wife, Laura of Shiprock, N.M., Veronica Cuthair, Beverly Cuthair, and Bernadette Cuthair all of Towaoc; and nephews, Kendall Cuthair of Towaoc, Jeremiah Cuthair, Jacob Dance Jr., Marshall Deer, Jedthro Deer, and Lewis Cuthair; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Paul Whiskers Dutchie III; and his mother, Celia Cuthair.

Services are under the direction of Four Corners Funeral Chapel, Cortez, CO.
